XS power 3" dump with 120cell cat on fleabay
Been looking at these thinking with the $Au so strong it might be worth investing in one of these.
Anyone dealt with XS power?
This is what I'm talking about http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MR2-Turbo-CELICA-GT4-3SGTE-Downpipe-3-120-cell-cat-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4cf1ddd723QQitemZ330475362083QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
Obviously won't be quite as free flowing as a non-catted dump but might save you from a reaming by the EPA. (or at least look like enough of an effort to have plausible deniability)
Shipping double the cost but maybe a few peeps might be interesting in a group buy?

I may be keen, looking to get mine engineered after it's all back together so i'll have to have some sort of cat i'd imagine.

Probably easiest to get it engineered with an original cat back on, then you don't have to prove the new cat has the same performance as the old one. I'm hoping the XS ones will just pass a visual inspection and pass a warm sniff test.

The parts would come to me in Melbourne so interstate peoples would have to pay local postage on top. I'll contact xs power and see what kind of deals they offer.

Count me in too - very interested.
BTW, anyone know how much clearance there is between this and the standard A/C compressor?

I am also interested in this and am fine paying the extra postage too. Would this unit not have the cracking problem the normal ebay units have?

They normally crack because they dont have the lower mounting brackets like the Aussie dump pipes do and because they are quite thin. If you support them at the base they dont normally suffer so badly.

if they were made from thicker material and didn't have stress risers in the welds they wouldn't crack at all.
xspower is big in the UK and i know they have had other things made that the USA don't seem to know about/sell. I assume thats what this is.
Id say the cat would die before anything else. Well before it disintegrates, but we wont know until someone tries one out.
