Had my MR2 Stolen..
Hey guys,
Bad news for me, i parked my Dark Green MR2 at Darling Station in East Malvern today at 8.50am and when I came back from work in the city at 7pm it wasn't there.
Not too sure what to do aside from fill out a police report and insurance claim so I thought I would just post a warning and a big tip: install security measures for goodness sake!!
If any1 sees it its rego is XMH374 and it has dark grey lenso wheels with a silver lip. It also has an exhaust system and its the dark green/blue that the early 89-92 models could come in.
Also, has anyone else ever had their MR2 stolen or any other car? What was the outcome? If you got it back, was it beaten up??

So no alarm and immobiliser fitted? If not, you may as well have handed them the keys...

its hard when its ur 1st car too, i wont be able to afford anything like it for some time now lol, all my money when into the mr2 so i have no savings left!
not sure if the pic will work..
and yeah, i had no alarm or immobiliser, i feel soo stupid for spending money on other parts of the car and not on that, it had an old alarm which didnt work and so i was only half thinking about replacing it. gutted [8~2]

bummer. I would opt for an immobiliser over an alarm any day.

Findlay - the thieves would have known if there was no alarm/immobiliser as there was no flashing LED. I'm even led to believe that having JUST an LED is a very good deterrent. Something so small and inexpensive can really mean everything. Your car is a sitting duck if it gets parked in the same place during the same hours everyday too.
