So this is the continuation of the build.
I bought an accessory for the MoTec the SLM , shift lights which also incorporates warning lights
This is how it works but ill get a video showing mine soon

YouTube - Motec SLM Evo8

The Shift Light Module (SLM) may be used for shift lights, warning lights or other indicators as programmed by the user.

It  provides eight multicolour LED indicator lights in a compact array. The colour, intensity and purpose of each LED can be controlled independently, providing enormous flexibility and scope for customisation.

A set of patterns can be defined with various colour combinations and flashing modes, indicating for example: stop immediately, continue with caution, pit lane speed limiter active and of course, up-shift and down-shift. The LEDs can be programmed in a priority order so that, for example, a warning light can override a shift light.

The SLM is configured and controlled using a MoTeC ECU, display or data logger. Compatible MoTeC devices have special programming functions for the SLM. The module is connected via CAN eliminating the need to use auxiliary outputs.

With the radio location modified for a flush fitting i moved on to integrate the display into the GPS spot

So out goes the GPS unit and in goes my MoTec MMD.
So ill sand blast it for the plastic texture look then anodize it.

I originally was going to put the SLM on the bezel but decided that i would prefer to put it on the steering wheel.

So this is how i finished the MDD display

Well i did all the wiring through the Toyota head unit for the wires for the MDD.
I still had to keep the tilt function for the CD.
I used the MoTec cable as its Teflon and slips easily into the section i cut out with a Dremel.
Its all aligned and waiting for my new surround so i can finally put all my interior together.
Love that the MDD is green as it matches the stock green illumination.

The MDD is great it monitors everything in a small little package, every parameter can be checked and if anything is out the LED's will warn me that way i dont have to keep an eye on the MDD

Sure beats having gauges sprawled all over the dash or A pillar

From the earlier threads i have a A/W system i routed the aluminium pipes under the car. I couldnt put the panels back on so i made new ones

So started on the front under cover. As with the other piece that i did i first bolt down L pieces of metal brackets to all the mounting points. Then i join all those Brackets with MDF and some auto filler. Then i undo all the bolts and what im left is basically the shape of the bottom of the car.
Next week ill glue it down to some MDF , then position the panel to the frame and make a mould ( plug ) of the part.
Modify it for the pipes then make the final mould.
Its a long process but the locations have to be spot on and its the only way i could do it.

So now i have glued down the frame to a piece of 18mm MDF board so it doesnt move.
I have bolted down the panel to the frame.
This way it resembles the bottom of the car with all the location points for the bolts in the correct positions.

Next step is to laminate the panel with fiberglass and make a mould of it.

This is necessary because to make a mould from this flimsy part would be a nightmare.

So I used glass and vinyl ester to start the mould

The part removed now to trim it and add the channel for the water lines

o i added the channel for the water pipes

Spray putty the part , now ill just make a quick part and position it on the car and check for clearance and if possibly lower the height of the channel.
Then final sanding , and make the mould and then carbon fiber a positive

Here is the final finished center part in carbon fibre.
For those who want to now it infusion epoxy vacuum bagged with 4 layers of 200 gsm Japanese carbon.
The part is so very light , i dare say lighter that the 3 pieces of oem plastic.

Going to give it a light Satin clear coat 2 pack

As previously said i did change my mind and want the SLM on my TRD steering wheel. Well i had to buy a whole new stalk setup so as the clock would have the necessary pins to allow connection of the SLM when i turned the wheel

New steering column controls so i can use the spiral clock to mount my MoTec SLM and also my TRD wheel

Got another piece today. Housing to hold the MoTec SLM led's ,So i can mount it to the back of the TRD wheel . Thats why i changed the Spring Clock to have the extra wiring to mount the SLM. This way it will turn with the wheel , and closer

Just have to aris the corners, bead blast it then get anodized and mounted.

Crappy weather day today so i decided to put my TRD wheel on. Still waiting the LED bezel to be finished so i just taped it on.
Special thanks to Aaron,Oteck and Bolly for all their help to get all their information and parts.
Firstly i needed the correct plate to mount the spiral clock and then get the correct column covers which ill put on latter.
The one i had had the bottom 2 tabs had one facing forward and the other away

Where as the one needed have to have both face forward

Good time to put the trim arount the base on the cluster on while the wheel is off.
BTW i bought a steering wheel puller to take the old wheel off. It wasnt budging.

Next mount the new clock and stalks. You can see on the clock all the extra pins, enough for my MoTec LED modules and the horn. No cruise on my car.

Wheel on :)

So much better with a 3 spoke absolutely hated the 4 spoke.

I received my Anodized part back :)

Picture from underneath shows how its mounted and the 3mm thread holes so as to mount it tho the back section of the steering panel

Made a template to match the hole locations. This was nerve wrecking with the dremel as i didn't want to slip

Bolted down

In place picture now only to mount and finall i can put all the dash together again after 3 months :)
