Thanks for the info guys! So many variations! So much to learn.

Lent it to a friend today while he was on the skidpan at RAC. Came back told me alternator/dash lights were all on. Much like before when they were only flickering (when the lead was loose)

Luckily let it rest, and started it and got home...

Edit: Car has been off for about 2 hours - exhaust is cool enough to touch, sump is still quite warm but the shield on the alternator is actually HOT!

Installed a basic stereo including a 12" Pioneer Sub - purchased from just_ace (after removing the factory sub), Pioneer Headunit and some 6" component speakers up the front. I left the rear speakers as they were - appear to be little factory tweeters. I am actually suprised how good it sounds considering only the sub is running off an aftermarket amp. I just put it down the insanely small cabin in the MR2.

Rear guards were rolled slightly so I can lower it about 3-4" with the coilovers. Hoping the 255 tyres dont scrape to much.

Need to look into the absurd fuel economy I am getting - getting roughly 260-290km from a tank. Still sounds quite poor even if I am driving with the ECT on PWR and with my foot down 80% of the time.

Coilovers went in. Lowest possibly setting - sits nicely.

Rear guards desperate need to be rolled and think i need to check the front guard liner as I think its rubbing at times.

Few pictures before I give it a good wash - lots of greasy hand prints allover it

Love the look of this thing from the back Only if I had a reason to need all that rear end grip.

Quite alot of rubbing issues from tyres. Last week was forced ( to raise front but then looked funny compared to rear so readjusted them up.

After a quick measurement lowered front a little and raised the rear, it's nice height for speed bumps and driveways...as it sees alot of them.

Measure top of rim to top of guard (before):
Front; 115mm
Rear; 85mm

Measure top of rim to top of guard (after):
Front; 85mm
Rear; 90mm

*Last picture shows the colour quite well. Also painted the vertical slats in front bar black, and did a quick DIY to make front parker lights amber

Looking great, nice stance.

Having the vertical bits in black looks better IMO, less busy, esp on bright colours like white. My first sw20 had black plastic covers that clipped over the vertical pieces (u shape in cross section).

Cheers

Teaser Shot

Work Meister S1

17x8 +30 - I will be resusing the 215/40 tyres
18x9 +31 - Currently have 245/40 tyres which I will use

Test fitted the rears and fit well, will be attempting some more guard bashing/rolling so I can keep the same ride height.

Test fitted the rear and they fit surprisingly well, which actually suprised me (They were MASSIVE tyres!)  That being said, I put them on and didn't drive as I require a set of wheel nuts. Guards are only slightly rolled so scrubbing may will be an issue.

Unfortunatelyturns out one of the front has a buckle - Will get that sorted tomorrow and put them on the car.

Didnt know until I purchased them, but these are only one piece wheels....?

Mr Mag actually out sources the work to another company. and AFAIK then take a mark up on top (All business Eh?)

Anyway taking it directly to the the repairer (Gibbs St Cannington) and should be able to get fixed for under $100...

Fake Work Wheels Hope not! Any tips to distiguish them?
Would still happily where them though, its not like this car will ever see the track....well it often does, but doesnt get further then the parking lot!

Oh, sorry, its Alliance Rim Repairs, or something like that.  Thats the one I was thinking of.  They used to be on the very west end of James St near the freeway a few years back, not sure if they moved.  They used to advertise on the car shows on channel 31.

Cheers
