Have you checked the drive belt tension?

Look down into the engine bay drivers side below the engine mount.
Get a small section piece of timber 500 mm or so long, carefully position it on the belt in the middle and push down. Should only move 10-15 mm with 10 kg pressure.

Tension was perfect, got my mechanic to check on it.

The flicking dash light, as i was told is due to a certain diode in the wiring. Apparently its a floating diode and the connection wears off? Regardless some time in future alternator will be replaced, its not loosing charge now so will leave it for time being.

Body work has been a bit slow, Full time study has started again and get little to no time to work on it, and when i do have time the motivation is rarely there. Will put up some up to date pictures later this week.

Unfortunately the stock 14s were not cutting it for me. Picked up today set of Enkei RP01's. These came up and always have liked the simple style, also got them for a pretty good price. Quite sad considering it was still almost half the value of this MR2.

Ignore the trippy wall paper. ....yes I kept these in the guest bedroom

Apparently will have some issues fitting them, will see this weekend. They currently quite wide tyres fitted.

You'll not be able to fit those tyres in the front. you'll have to go to a 215/40 or 215/35 esp given those offsets.

to be honest, I am not entirely sure. Originally planned to fix only few panels but got slightly carried away.
More then likely will stick to a lighter colour as it will be used every day and dont want it showing up any scratches.

White MR2's are very appealing suddenly so may go that way, still a bit to go before i get near any colour.

Chase_d, any idea what this is on your engine lid? I've got the same but no tube/wire. Interested to know what it does?

I always thought it was the temperature sensor, someone with more knowledge on MR2's may be able to confirm.

Right now its just cable tied to strut brace ;)

Correct. On the turbo cars, if this is unplugged, the fan runs at all times when the ignition is on.

Cheers

Splashed a bit of colour today.

Actually coming really well - worst part is im pushing car around until i sort my alternator issues out.

This is the colour, not going ahead with pearl - this is first car i have ever painted so dont want stuff getting complicated - can always add in on topic at a later date.

Still have about 3-4 more coats to go on.

Yes there is overspray on wheels, but they are getting rotated on rims once car is up and running, and exhaust will be polished up.
