friend of mine scours yahoo auctions...
that's $150 delivered from JP (via container)

and that includes the moulding strip in white... now I just gotta find the rest of them... :| for the full set.

I've got a boot and full rev 1 spoiler coming over for around $350 :) makes me happy in pant :)

maybe I should look at painting the headlight surrounds white too... and adding HIDs...

ok the intakes are on.  the underside of my car is painted black still, but the corresponding bits on the front lip and rear bar make it look a touch high.. car def needs a slight drop in height.
edit: sorry about the upside down iPhone pix.. u can tell ios5 is still in beta... :\
onto the pix.

now i need a better way to mount this. I would like a new front bar tho - since the paint is peeling in places on mine...

i have two full sets of rp-01s now. I had a set that came with my supra. so i'm using the rubber up on those.  I bought my other rims off ebay / nissansilvia forums.  The problem with buying rims from O/s was shipping price. Enkeis go for a heap on yahoo auctions jp too, so i was looking at $1000 for the 4 rims alone (with the perfect offset for mr2s) or i could get the +38 set i got for $600 delivered, so i took the latter option.

ok I got my boot fitted on Sunday. :) And I'm going to have to do some "moving" of the mounts since one corner is still off by a little. The boot is in excellent condition (a little dirty) and has a G-Limited badge on it, instead of my GT badge from my old boot.

I'm thinking of doing a badge delete on it, since my car is a genuine GT - I don't want the GLimited badging there. I don't have pix, but it looks almost the same, except for the lack of holes.  Old boot lid is going up for sale in a thread near you soon :)

EDIT: forgot the bad news. I sheered off a bolt (it must have been weakened), so now I'm going to have to drill it out so frustrating...

got the 275 repaired.  The inside of the rim clears the suspension by a bee's dick, and the outside of the rim is HELLA flush. =)

I'm going to need to roll the guards as it scraps on the outside when I go over hard bumps (might raise the front one or two turns too).
I was able to run the front without spacers too after adjusting the height.  Again, not much clearance.  These are pretty much the widest rims without poke you can run on this car without going widebody.
I also corrected the negative camber on the front by adjusting the coilovers.  (proper alignment is still pending - need to set the ride height before aligning).

will set all that up and take some more decent pix :)

ok I haven't updated for a while, so here goes.

275s are on the back and feel great.  There is a bee's d*ck between the rim and the suspension.
I've had a full alignment and my guestimate of the camber setting on the front was CORRECT!!! WTF!

I've rolled the rear guards to fit the rims, (they scraped over bumps) and need to be rolled slightly further to stop all scraping.
I've polished parts of the car, including the new boot lid, and removed the GLimited Logo, and over time am removing the adhesive off the paint.

I've got a cusco catch can that I want to put on the car (this weekend if I have time).  I now need to work out how to adapt the hoses from the PCV to the catch can and where to route the output of the can. suggestions anyone?

and finally I need to get rubber stoppers for the boot.  I've noticed that the GLimited boot has different stoppers to the GT boot.
The GLimited boot has a large hole (for the adjustable stops I believe), and the GT has a small hole. I'm going to steal one from the supra and see if that fits tonight - if it does I'll order some new ones.

I'm still indecisive about subs - the current sub I have is quite large for the car (12" in box) and intefers with how far back the passenger seat can go.  Plus I'm not really using the sub anywhere near to it's potential.

The problem is the changeover cost to a compact sub is actually quite high - I'm looking at around $270 for a Kicker 10" compact sub! insane!

car's starting to look more like a car I'd like to drive tho - here's two pics after the polish (also polished the tail lights) and de-badge.

Car looks soo fantastically good mate. Its soooo nice.

I love the new wheels. Makes me miss my mr2 even more now.

I could highly suggest building up a box yourself for the subby. It will be much cheaper :)

Oh nice as. Good idea with the cut and polish. You just have to be careful for the edges as the paints always thinner in those areas :)
I may suggest keeping the catch can till you know for sure.

Must resist replicating this car.... must..... haha

yah I was very gentle on it :)

I'm gonna do a bit of research.. I think it may be a CBF thing :P lol

I just don't want to have to adapt the hoses from the narrower PCV to the thicker catch can :p

So what is the 'perfect offset'?

Are they 16's or 17's?

They really suit the car.
