ok front is now raised :) I have a lot more clearance.  Will be getting some 215 40/r17s on Saturday which will be good.  Friend has purchased a white boot from Yahoo Japan for me which is AWESOME, which should arrive at the same time as the side pods. The white center bit I bought got lost in the post, but insurance has covered another one, which is being sent EMS so should get that early next week.
Hopefully will have a sub sorted this week too that's a bit smaller and nicer :)
I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so thinking of ordering a bushing kit from twosrus and some ARP extended wheel studs for the front rims.  I discovered one of my front original rubber swaybar bushes is a bit dead.

Found where I'm going to mount the catch can too (engine lid mount) that should help blowby oil.

Once all that's been done, will give the car a MEGA clean, inc engine bay. At which point I'll probably send it to a garrage to get the timing done right (I'm still having issues where the car is going into limp mode).  This occurs regardless of the boost sensor being connected, so it's been suggested that my engine may be pinging. And at the same time I'll sort out the engine leak. (main seal I think :( ).

edit: I'll also be replacing the valve on the slow flat 10" rim :) when I get around to it. :P

edit2: I'm still thinking bout getting some braces.. like a TRD rear brace... I want the chasis on this to last a while :)

Sounds good, but whats wrong with the boot on your car now?
By side pods what do you mean? as in side or rear?

Sorry side venty things.

Boot had a gt wing and holes werent covered properly. The wing is a bit ratty, and the edge of the boot is a bit off. This is in perfect condition and includes the wing.

Is it from the newer model with different wing or the same?

Think that would look really good with newer style- only down side is you would have to patch up the holes on rear quarters.

215 40/r17s are on :)

full clean today. fixed the p/s light issue (removed the light :P) white LED dash conversion (looks REALLY nice).

cleaned the heck out of the car.. and found a seam coming apart in my recaro /cry!

anyways more pix.

I wanna make a new bracket for the front plate - the stock one is waaay too big for my tiny lil plate :P

you can see the reason i'm getting a new rear center. (the two small holes drilled in it, and the fact it doesn't sit flat. ) (should be here next week.)

If you look careful at the boot, you can see it doesn't sit flat the right side is lifted up a bit.  (that and there's a hole in the top) waiting on postage -2 months.

LOL!!! gotta love engrish.  god damn ios5 wish it would do things right!

Definitely want to put my enkeis back on now!

Looks great though, definitely needs something at the front though.
Would also look at DIYing or buying some clear toblerone indicators!

Another Saturday working on the car.  Everytime I fix something, I find more stuff that I just shake my head at.  I removed my nforce exhuast and put a stockie back on(after soo much stuffing around (loosened subframe, engine mounts, and swaybars).  Found that I have an 3" aftermarket dump (woot), but both of the screw mounts in the exhuast are filled with nuts, no actual sensors in there.  I was also missing an exhaust bolt - off the dump, so that would have most likely been contributing to the excess noise the car was producing. (that and the metal crush gaskets) - no maniseal anywhere.  With the aftermarket dump, lots of maniseal and the stock exhuast, the car sounds like it purrs now. I definitely prefer the much quieter ride I have.  I also got to use for the first time my new sidchrome reversable gear spanners. yay.

I also fitted the new center panel I got.  Much better. I also found that I needed to pannelbeat the rear metal behind the center piece, to make it fit correctly - the previous install had it jutting out.  and didn't look as though it fit correctly. (due to the space required for the lights.)

Back to the dump though -  the temp sensor and O2 sensor aren't mounted in the exhaust... *sigh*. Kind of explains why my car was running so darn rich.

ok so the stock exhaust was put on a while back. Got my new MRS steering wheel on the car too. (issues there which I'm sorting out with the seller).

and today I picked up the engine pod covers:)

So this weekend all going well I'll try and get the side skirts off the car.  The pods are in perfect condition too :D

only waiting on the replacement bootlid, and then enough time to setup the coilovers properly.  (I want to make sure that they are wound to exactly the same height on on each side. (atm they are the same height but one side has more thread exposed at the bottom than the other does, meaning they will bottom out at different positions, and also I'm pedantic). and then sort out the 275 rim. I'm looking forward to having these on the car, as it will pump out under the rear guards...

Hey no probs.

the enkeis look pretty good - but wait until the 275s are on :)

The 40s aren't rubbing at all :D I'm going to re-lower the front again haha. up down up down. love coilovers :)
Plastic polish at home on the shelf ready to go.  I intend on cleaning the car up fully once the side skirts are done, it's just hard to justify keeping the car clean when I'm working on it so much and the side skirts look the way they do....

Looks good. Been thinking about powedercoating mine a slightly darker colour - they just get dirty to easily!

What actually size did you end up staying with (for the wheels, did you need  the spacer?)

Sorry if i missed it - whats actually wrong with sideskirts? They look good in pics and fit so well?

you can see a blackish colour around the bottom air intake vent.  The fibreglass at this point is actually damaged, and it looks like has been shaved off. not sure of why.  The other problem is the kit doesn't match the paint colour of the car properly.  It was a piss poor effort colourmatching.  If I was going to keep it, I'd want to pull off the skirts, get the section fibreglassed back up and then painted properly.

But considering I got These  for $150 in perfect condition

I'll stick with the stock look with big pokey rims :)
edit: it's a nice birthday present for me :) I'll post pix on Sunday when I put the pod things on :)
