Damn... That engine looks fiiiiiine!! Nice work mate, what do you do for a job? Lol
But seriously, what is your power goal this time?

I'm a mechatronics engineer, working as a software engineer.

I'm expecting just under 300rwkw on normal 98 fuel after all this, and easily 300+ rwkw on E85 :-D

Nice move going to COP.

Strange the RacerX cam sensor is done so poorly. He normally does things quite nice but that just looks odd. Will you be making a cover or just leave it like that? Crank trigger being adjustable too?

Certainly looks alot more serious now thats for sure!

RacerX has had at least 2 revisions of the cam sensor. Their latest design uses the right engine mount for the sensor, and a trigger on the exhaust cam gear, instead of using the distributor location.

You engine looks mean even out of the car!  Congrats on your latest incarnation :)  I'm looking forward to seeing the dyno figures

Dumb question. But what is the slotting on the trigger wheel for? Setting the base timing or something?

Looks like you'll be in the 300KW club with this one.

I assume you're talking about the 6 elongated mounting holes.
Different aftermarket ECU brands have different requirements for the location of the missing teeth relative to TDC, so I guess the elongated holes are there for that reason. Anyone who changes to a completely different crank trigger is obviously running an aftermarket ECU or at least a non-standard 'triggering' setup, so the mounting holes "may as well" be elongated for adjustability.

Maybe slightly under 300rwkw on 98 fuel, but with E85 it should easily exceed 300rwkw.

This is starting to remind me of my build now with what you have done.
I was looking at the cam sensors that people have tried and couldn't find any I liked the look of so have just stayed with the std dissy with a alloy cap on it.

I also have the same clutch

I found out something surprising when I talked to MRC recently...apparently my turbo is actually a GT3082R, but all this time we thought it was a GT3076R! For those who don't know, a GT3082R has the turbine from a GT3076R and the compressor from a GT3582R.
The reason this situation came about is because my turbo was very briefly used by a different workshop on a different engine before ending up on MRC's shelf for a while, then MRC sold it to me for a good price because it had been used (for a very very short time). MRC was told that it was a GT3076R, so the workshop which originally used the turbo is at fault for misinforming MRC.

This discovery might explain why the turbo has slightly more lag than I initially expected it to have, but still a bit less lag than a GT3582R.
The GT3086R may have a reputation for having a 'mismatched' turbine and compressor, but I've been happy with it (and of course I've been oblivious to the mismatch all along)! I've never experienced compressor surge or anything like that.

The only reason I'm even mentioning this is to avoid misinformation on the forums.

That explains a few things too. It'll slam onto boost & would make for a difficult car to launch at the strip due to the on/off way in which is makes power/boost.

No reason to ditch it, but slightly poor form to the seller for falsely advertising.

Some more progress to report.
The engine is back in the car, and most of the hard stuff is done. The fuel lines and FPR have been relocated for the new fuel rail system, the CAS and COP wiring has been partiallly completed, the throttle cable has been extended and mounted to a custom bracket on the plenum, the holes in the boot firewall (from the original A2W IC) have been patched up, etc.

I love how easily the fuel rail and purple ID2000 injectors can be seen with the new plenum:

Here is the new PWR front mount heat exchanger for my A2W IC system. The core size (without the end tanks) is 480x230x32. PWR custom-made it according to a drawing provided by MRC. The air conditioning system is retained. I have a copy of the CAD drawing by PWR, and the drawing number is "PWH62619". So, if anyone wants the same heat exchanger, you can just call PWR and provide that drawing number.

*EDIT*
I got some photos of the Johnson CM90 water pump installed (these photos were taken at a later date after the above photos of the heat exchanger were taken)...

This shows the pump location, and where the horn was relocated on each side of the car:

The specs sticker on the pump (it might be too hard to read after the image is compressed):

Looking down through where the left pop-up headlight normally goes, with the front of the car at the top of the photo:

Nice setup, I have the same W2A core and a similar build but a very different turbo

I would recommend anyone to buy that PWR heat exchanger, I used one of the frozen boost ones and the mounting was a pain in the ass.
