Tonight I did a trial fitment of my Work Equip Anhelos rims and the fronts and rears all fitted almost perfectly with no spacers! There is only about 2mm of clearance from the coilovers at the front though. The curved spokes have also given me more clearance from the face of the front calipers now, so that's a nice bonus. Here are some photos. Note: - The tyres on the Equips are 225/45 R18 all-round, so they look weird in the photos, but I'll be swapping the tyres from my original rims and they should look perfect. - Once I swap the tyres, my rear tyres will fill the arches much better because they are 265s instead of 225s, and I now have some spare 3mm spacers that I can use if I want. - Two of the centre caps are no good, including the front one in the photos, so I'll probably replace all of them. - I'll be getting the wheels restored, hopefully by Magman in Punchbowl very soon. Thanks mate!! I love my car more every day dylmrt Rob was so desperate to get the wheels he came and got them before we had even unpacked the shipment! Now I know why! They look sweet! hahaha yeah! I think we had a bit of a miscommunication on Monday, which is why I got there before it was unpacked, but instead of leaving and returning to Shane's later, I said I would help him unpack some stuff to get my wheels off the pallet ASAP.

I've ordered some replica replacement centre caps and some hub centric rings, and I just dropped the wheels off at Magman for restoration. He quoted about $550 to re-paint the spokes and polish the lips on all 4 wheels, not too bad I guess.

Oh crap, last night I couldn't sleep and I was constantly thinking about my intercooler and plenum changes. It seems that I have almost convinced myself that I am going to remove my A2W IC barrel from the boot, and start all over again, doing it the way that I should have always done it...like MR2QIK, stuka, dasic1, etc, with a new A2W IC on the left of the engine bay, and a new left-side-feed plenum. Almost everything about this option is better than the other options, except for the fact that I'll be starting from scratch. I think it will be worth it though. Once the boot is all patched up, I can just treat it as a fresh A2W IC install. I'll have to re-do the air piping, but that's no big deal, and it will be simpler and shorter anyway. The main downside is that I'll have to spend more money to get the new A2W IC, but the PWR barrel was not the best choice in hindsight, so again it's a worthwhile change. The FrozenBoost A2W intercoolers are amazingly good value too, so they look promising for me.

Rob I have been offline for a while and only read your thread now, sounds like you have been busy thinking! I agree you shouldnt focus on building around the current set up, its pretty unobtrusive as it is so it wouldnt be great deal to scrap it and start again. I see you are almost decided on the straight runner intake manifold. Correct me if Im wrong but you dont seem to me to be the sorta guy that will be driving your car up near the redline all the time, do you really think focusing on the top end is right for you? If so, what kind of rpm are you talking? I had a look at your dyno graph and your current set up peaks at about 6,500 rpm, is this the right upper range for the manifold design?

If so, what kind of rpm are you talking? I had a look at your dyno graph and your current set up peaks at about 6,500 rpm, is this the right upper range for the manifold design? I don't rev past 7.5k rpm, but I'll happily hit 7-7.5k rpm with no concern. It's not that I'm focusing heaps on the very top end of the rev range. Aftermarket intake plenums are supposed to increase power from about 4-5k rpm up to the redline, without affecting the low rpm range, so I guess it would behave like having a higher boost level. Earlier in the week I was almost decided on a straight runner intake manifold poking into the boot, and retaining my A2W IC barrel in the boot. It was only last night that I totally changed my mind and decided that I'll probably do a setup like yours and Jay's, therefore replacing every part of the A2W system including the IC. The straight runners won't be happening if I pursue the new idea, because everything in the boot will be deleted. BTW, what type of A2W IC do you have Pat?

No worries Rob I just thought the straight runner design might not be right for you but if you can keep the mid range all well and good. All things in life seem to be a trade off though. I have the frozen boost single pass IC and HE which works perfectly well for 300rwkw. I had the welding joints ground down and smoothed over and then polished and it came up a treat. Of course your piping diameter and route is a key factor in the success of the system, no doubt you have read the sticky on mr2oc. Best advice I can give you is dont rush into this in regard to design, planning, positioning of all the components. I dont think your motor will grenade in the meantime!

I think you're confusing your terminology. This is a straight-runner plenum, which can only fit if you cut a hole in the boot behind the engine: http://racerxfabrication....e38/page1/files/13.jpg But this is the sort of thing I'd be looking at instead for my new idea, similar to yours: http://racerxfabrication....e38/page1/files/12.jpg stuka I have the frozen boost single pass IC and HE which works perfectly well for 300rwkw. Would you be able to tell me which 'type' of IC you have, from the Frozen Boost site as below? http://www.frozenboost.com/index.php?cPath=218 Or is yours custom in any way?

I also haveva frozen boost ic. But I went a size larger than stuka. Just letting you know that you can fit a bit bigger than his, not sure if there is any difference performance though

Hey Rob, Good option on going down the side feed rout. I've been looking into it for a while, just haven't had time or money to start my build. But I have gathered some info on it and looked at different options like the ATS Racing one. ATS Racing one http://atsracing.net/Parts/Index/ATSMANIFOLD Maybe check it out too? They can supply a larger 70mm Throttle body too.
