I managed to remove the failed crank pulley. I unbolted the right-side engine mount and that wasn't enough, so I also lowered the rear sub-frame and unbolted the exhaust mounts. The crank pulley bolt itself was also very difficult to loosen. I had to do multiple attempts of the starter blip trick with a breaker bar wedged against the ground, followed by many consecutive seconds with my very powerful 18V Makita cordless impact wrench.

Did you do this on hoist or driveway? It wasn't too bad for my car on the hoist and the engine mount was sufficient but maybe thats because everything was hanging. Glad to hear you got it sorted, that bolt is held in there with the power of Zeus. Mine would not budge for anything less than high power air tools.

It was the first job I tackled in my new single lock-up garage. My kirkosaurus torque mount inserts would've reduced how much the engine dropped with the side engine mount removed. I just completed the whole job, pending a test drive tomorrow. I also took the opportunity to do an oil change while the car was up on jack stands.

I took my A2W intercooler back to my welding guy last week, for yet another modification to stop my intercooler piping from blowing apart after extended periods at 30psi of boost. This will be the end of it, I swear haha. While the intercooler was out of the car, I also got him to weld on a bigger filling/bleeding point, so I no longer need to use a syringe to top up the intercooler with coolant! Before: After:

I'm happy to hear that the plugin fixed the photobucket issue for you all! It's been 8 months since the last MR2 Wakefield Park Challenge, but only yesterday did I finally get a chance to drop off my car to get the left side skirt fixed. It was damaged by the gravel trap when I went off at turn 2 in spectacular/idiotic fashion, but it just needs some patching up and fresh paint. This Friday 29th September I'm participating in the Nulon Nationals Roll Racing, as part of the Toymods team. It should be really fun!

Good luck with it Rob! I was in the Toymods team for the last 2 events so it will be great for you to continue to wave the MR2 flag! As you know, my car isn't suited to roll racing. Kick arse mate.

Good luck with the roll racing Rob. I'm sure you will have some good results.
Look forward to catching up at the next WPC. Hopefully you don't repeat the 'Robney' incident again ;)

The roll racing on Friday night was really fun! I won 8 races in a row, before finally losing to the 'Koval' Evo which is one of the big guns in the regular roll racing events. After Koval beat me, he then lost to the BYP700 Honda K24 turbo powered white SW20, which ended up finishing in 2nd place overall. I also plan on joining some mates at Sydney Dragway on Oct 11, to try and set a new 1/4 mile PB. I'm going to try to source a clutch switch and set up flat-shift before then, so I can save a few tenths on each gear change.
