I reckon the colour it is now looks great, at least in the photos. Is the paint a bit tired or you just don't like the colour? Good find with the Beams too - will also be interested to see how it performs once it's done. There's probably one or two P platers reading this that'd give personal body parts for it

It took a little while but the BEAMS 3S-G is finally at Ian's workshop!

I'd like to thank Simon for providing the van to pick up the engine and Trav for helping out and taking me to and from the warehouse.

Work on this engine will start next week.

I started removing a few things off the BEAMS engine this morning.

So far it appears to be in pretty good condition. I guess I'll find out more next week when more parts start coming off.

UPDATE

I've finally dismantled the BEAMS engine and started cleaning some parts. Hopefully next week I'll know what needs to be replaced/fixed.

The pistons seem to be in good condition but I'll have Ian go through everything first.

It's been awhile since the last update as I've been rather busy. Anyhow the BEAMS engine is currently undergoing a rebuild with some ACL race bearings and SXE10 (BEAMS blacktop) pistons which will increase the compression slightly.
