There is debate over weather locating the HE in the stock IC location is benaficial or not. I've never had dramas with it but this was a low power setup. I will be running a larger front mount HE in the future.

I also had my exhaust mani HPC coated to ensure minimal heat soak, although I think I'll use the stock heatshield aswell when I find someone who wants to sell one.

Have you chosen a front mount heat exchanger btw? I want to take my bumper off so I can decide how to do mine, but I'll probably have to wait til after the January monthly meet.
Will you be retaining the electric pump from the PWR 5217 kit when you change to a front mount?

Yeah, will be front mount. I'll use the pump I got in the kit and see how it goes. I'll upgrade it if need be but the little buggers aren't cheap. But I don't see why it won't work.

I took the ac out so I've got plenty of room to use.

Cool. BTW, I meant which particular part you had chosen for the front mount?

Not sure not up to that stage yet but it'll be a PWR item for sure as the rest of my coolers are. I'll just get the biggest I can fit.

Well finally got building today, all went well and all measurements are spot on! Head has had a shimless bucket conversion and some mild porting, mostly to clean up the ports and some Brian crower 264 cams.

Anyho some snaps for you all,

Didn't think the gear was much of an issue.

I am running with the balance gear, I've also removed it on another crank though. Its doesn't prove problematic.

Well I've been busy with all the small things, but making good ground. Still got to spray my sump as it looks poo. Then I can start putting on some outer sexy bits.

I can't wait either, it's been too long since I've felt boost or had any fun in the twisties. No, I used the 5s block and obviously the crank too.
