Photography Thread?

Can we start a photography thread of our photos of our own or other's mr2s?
Sometimes our car isn't shmick enough to be in the showroom (me!) or doesn't get work done to it or whatever.
Or sometimes you might be feeling artsy on a cruise and it doesn't really belong in a showroom thread.

All MR2's are worthy of having their own thread in the showroom. Its not for showcars only.
But yeah, feel free to make a photography thread, I know theres lots of us with cameras that wouldn't mind putting some stuff up there.

now im using a LUMIX FS42, so my photos should be better.
im not overly into photography (like enought to buy a DSLR), but a lot of my friends are, so its starting to rub off.

    Nice idea for a thread.
Hears mine, taken for a wheel thread and used for my sig.

Taken with a 10 mega pixel digital SLR, auto settings (day time). Done outside a cafe about 50 meters from the wheel shop.

Might take some more over time to post here.

Heres one I took last weekend at the Mercedes Benz concours, its a 190SL, such a beautiful car.

This was my fav car there though, the 190SL's big brother, the mighty 300SL, at one time I do believe it was the fastest car in the world. Now easily worth over $1million.

Hehe is that your gf in the passenger's seat?
Here's one I took last night:

I was at Akuna Bay and wanted to take some pics with my crappy Sony camera. I was focusing purely on S mode.
    I had f-stop 2.2, exposure of 1.6secs and iso 64.
Oh and nothing else but a car park light.

Taken today at Wakefield Park. Next to the M1, the sexiest BMW.

The EXIF for that file says that it was taken with a Fuji Finepix.

Edit: A photo of a BMW isn't really on topic at all, so apologies for that, but it is AWESOME.

Yeah, just looking at the top now, S9500. It's only be 9 mega pixel, oh well. I was told 10, but that's what you get for not checking.

Who cares, megapixels aren't the be all and end all of cameras. Unless you're printing out poster sized pics, it really doesn't matter.

Certainly, there are many factors to be considered, but that said...

Or if you're cropping to get a narrower effective field of view to simulate a longer lens because your longest lens still isn't quite long enough. The same principle applies to macro photography.

By way of explanation a 15MP camera has ~1.4x as many pixels in each dimension as an 8MP camera, so if you go from an 8MP camera to a 15MP camera, both with the same sized sensor of course, you're effectively getting a 1.4x teleconverter for free if you choose to crop the 15MP image to match the old 8MP camera.

As you say it's not the be all and end all, but all other things being equal, I would much rather have more megapixels than less.

Anyway my comment regarding the Fuji Finepix had nothing to do with pixels.

Edit: Keeping it in the family... sort of. From this year's Bathurst 12hr:

    Nice pics everyone.
DVST8R, that silver Merc is just beautiful. My 4 year old son just saw that pic and remembered it was his favourite car from the Classic Adelaide when he was 2. He even has a poster on his wall of it.
This is my fav pic I have taken, its of Small Car Sunday 2004, it was taken by my old Canon Powershot 2 mp then stitched together. Mine is the red AW11 with the polished rims.
