Modified exhaust back from Jet-Hot. Now ceramic coated and ready to fit. I changed it to a "long runner" design, secondary lengths now identical to OEM blacktop pipe. Also welded on a bracket for rear engine block hanger (fabricated from 2.5 mm plate).

Yes, although the coating is mainly to avoid cooking the driveshaft cv boot. Silver is actually their cheapest colour !

Car is now back home. Lots of tidying up to do, but the operation has been a success.
Rob - oil cooler seems very nicely made. It cost me around $300.
I am getting a custom 90 deg takeoff made up for the cooler lower oil line, so I can set the cooler just above the rear chassis rail.
For now, I'm running without a cooler, while I get the mounts made up, and replacements for the prototype filler neck. When all the bits arrive and are welded up, I'll re-do the cooling layout and plumb in the cooler.

First dyno runs : as installed, not yet tuned. 95 kW at the wheels (est. 116 at flywheel). Happy me :) Tacho ratio not quite right - it's a couple of hundred RPM low at the top end. Now to sort out the dip at 6500 RPM.

No problems. I hope to have the rear shocks and mk1b brakes in by then.

Oil pressure light is in, fitted in unused warning light slot : Tacho "improved" : Stereo wiring, alarm, and afr sensor to go, and I can reassemble the interior. I scored a KMX wideband display and O2 sensor from work : evaluation kit that we've finished evaluating ! More bloody wiring...

Thanks. I've been waiting for my "aloominum toobes" for the cooling system. They arrived today - hope I don't get invaded by the US ! I will remake my prototype filler neck properly over the next week or so; when that's done I'll fit the new filler neck and the oil cooler at the same time - it saves draining the cooling system twice. I plan on re-using the original oil cooler mounting location - make up an alloy plate that lines up on the bolt holes, and clamp the new cooler to it with stainless hose clamps. Current task is to finish the stereo & wideband wiring, hopfully by this weekend; then all I need is the new alarm before putting the lower dash panels in for good.
