MR2 Nationals 2026 - LAUNCESTON, TASMANIAFriday 20th February 2026 - Monday 23 February 2026
Plus optional extra Tassie Runabout - Tuesday 24 February 2026 to Saturday 28 February 2026.
BOOK THE SPIRIT OF TASMANIA FROM MARCH 2025 - book asap to ensure a spot (as at 1 March it is still not available for us to book yet, we will continue to monitor)
We will be sailing on the Spirit of Tasmania on the night sail on Thursday 19 February 2026.
 
*The "Nationals" component will be 4 days:Friday 20th February 2026 - Meet & Greet at Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm followed by a cruise and check in at Nationals HQSaturday 21 February 2026 - Track Day - TBC (dependent on numbers attending)Sunday 22 February 2026 - MR2 Display - Japanese Classics, National Auto Museum, Launceston (this will be our Show N Shine equivalent) & Nationals Dinner (cost of Dinner is $45 pp)Monday 23 February 2026 - Cruise
 
Optional - additional 4 night Tasmania Runabout -
Tuesday 24th February 2026 to St Helens / Scamander,
Wednesday 25th to Hobart,
Thursday 26th to Queenstown,
Friday 27th to Burnie, concludes Saturday 28th February 2026.
Attendees welcome to join for all or part of the Tour - book your own accomodation, details in the attached "Instuctions".

**Costs to factor:- Entry fee $50 (compulsory and non-refundable)- Spirit of Tasmania (you can only book the Spirit of Tasmania 11 months in advance but you can do preliminary costings online yourself in the interim to give you a rough idea  https://www.spiritoftasmania.com.au)-
Accomodation for the MR2 Nationals Component is $179/night inc. breakfast)
You will be given a booking reference number when you register.-

As always registration is essential


WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are participating in the optional Tassie Runabout, that you lock in your accomodation for that ASAP as we have not reserved any rooms at the suggested accomodation locations due to numbers unknown. Apparently February is one of Tassie Tourism’s biggest months so your accomodation for the optional Tassie Runabout needs to be locked in asap.

Scamander Beach Resort is not yet ready for us to book so leave that one for another week or so, I am waiting for them to get back to me once they have their bookings sorted for next year.

REGISTRATION CLOSES ON 31 MARCH 2025 as we need to know definite numbers to continue the huge job of planning such a grand event!
