Sump

Are the Gen 2 and Gen 3 3SGTE sumps the same?

    they are not the same. - I had a Gen3 sump put on my Gen2 3SGTE as i wanted the better oiling and the baffles
    Gen 3 is 2 piece - cant remember gen2
     
    Are you looking at replacing a pan or are you after higher oil volume?

    They are very different and are not interchangeable
