Turbo 5sfe HELP!

so i want to turbo my little Celica and I'm aiming for around 250-300hp but i know noting required for this motor so basically what the hell do i need

the motors getting a full rebuild so i might as well send it right? and waste some money on it even though i can just do an engine swap but i don't want to go and look for a different motor and modify mounts and wiring for it to work.

I'm thinking at least forged pistons and rods but i feel like id need more that that for this motor and ill probably need some bigger injectors and some work done to the valves bigger springs and what not but i don't know what size i should go for

Also what turbo kits should i use i might go ching wang spooly boi unless advised otherwise but for now and I'm getting a haltec but i don't know what one to use and if their is a plug and play harness that can be used as i couldnt find one

will i need a diffrent clutch i dont know what the stock one can handle aswell as what can the gearbox and shafts handle?

and help will be much appreciated as im basically a lost puppy at this point 😂

Lost pups get in big strife!
Depending what year model 5S, the block may be suitable for boost but I doubt the head would be worth the candle.
FE won't flow nearly as well as a GE head. Different valve inclination angle, smaller ports etc.
Check if the block is in good enough condition to be bored. Rust in coolant galleries, cracked, warped etc.
Quality pistons, rings and rods. ARP bolts throughout.
Possibly a 3S cylinder head and some significant work on the crank and it's lubrication.

    So it's from a 99 celica
It's getting fully machined and bored as everything looks ok and I've decided to go with race bearings aswell now

How do I get better lubrication and what type of work in the crank do you rekon?

How much do you rekon a 3s head will cost and do they bolt straight on?

I assume it has the balance shaft assembly so bin that and drill and tap its oil gallery for sealed grub screw.
Either keep or bin it's drive gear. Decide which crank 3s or 5s.Which rods to suit and have crank big end journals machined to suit. Decide size of oil pump and which oil cooler and it's plumbing.
    Thank everyone that helps .

The 5SFE in ADM Celica's doesn't have the balance shaft.
@SuperPotato - there are lots of 5SGTE build threads on this and various other forums. You can learn all you need to know by searching for 5SGTE, even if you want to keep the 5SFE head.
I have a 5SGTE and I didn't do anything fancy with the block other than bore and deck it. I used 3SGTE oil and water pumps and other bolt on parts from the 3SGTE. They are mostly interchangeable between 5S and gen 2 3SGTE.
    Good luck with it.
