AW11 SC Battery

Who decided that it was a good idea to put a battery underneath the intercooler?

Now I have to take the entire intercooler off just to replace the battery...

Sigh, MR2 why do I love you so much, when you treat me this way?

It was a #*^# of an idea to even put it in the engine bay at all much less under other rubbish.
The little buggers are already tail heavy. BUT, wait on a minute. Silver Lining.
Excellent opportunity to redistribute 8 or10 kg somewhere much more beneficial.
Low down behind passenger seat. Low down in frunk.
And remember it's only cranking a itsy - bitsi engine so only needs a very small / light battery.
    Food for thought.

3rd option is a Shorai Lithium Battery LFX36L3-BS12 or similar. At 2.5Kg you could mount it in the boot for a negligible change of weight distribution and a short and well protected cable run.
