It is with sadness that we have decided to postpone MR2 Nationals 2021. Given the growing epidemic in NSW and the increasing case numbers all projections do not expect the state to be out of lockdown till after the proposed date of the October long weekend. This decision was made after careful consideration to all factors and stakeholders involved and we apologise that we aren't able to celebrate the nationals event in 2021.
We will however postpone the event to the 2022 June Long weekend!
We have a lot to figure out between now and then but hopefully this gives us something to work towards and look forward to. At this point in time we're planning to run the event identically to the way it was proposed to run for October in this year but this is subject to our sponsors and service providers agreeing to the date change. We're choosing to let our members and entrants know first as we want to keep everyone updated with respect to developments.
We understand that a number of you have already paid deposits for this year's event. We are providing entrants with the option
to have their registration for the event cancelled and their total balance refunded to you ASAP or at your election we can retain your deposit for the 2022 event. We cannot provide a partial refund if you wanted to cancel your registration but still purchase a shirt due to administrative difficulties. If you wish to purchase shirts separately before the event we've made it possible for you to do this at the registration page on our website
and this will be updated in the coming days.
We ask for everyone's patience while we sort out the events for Nationals 2022 and reconfirm bookings with our suppliers and do reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Below are some FAQ's for the event. Q: Can I get my money back and how?
A: Yes of course, please message us by reply email and we can arrange a full refund of your total amount paid Q: Will I need to re-register for Nationals 2022?
A: Only if you have elected for a full refund with us by reply email Q: Will the events stay the same?
A: We're hoping to have the same events for 2022 but there might have to be changes if any of our providers can't accommodate the new date. If this happens everyone will be notified. Q: Can I refund part of my payment e.g. I want a shirt but am unable to attend the new date
A: No, refunds will be only for the full amount paid, we cannot provide a partial refund. We can however extend an invitation to purchase a shirt separately, they will be $30 inclusive of postage and can be obtained when the website is updated in the coming days. Q: Can you guarantee it won't be rescheduled again?
A: We can't provide guarantees at this stage, the future of the epidemic is unknown. We expect that there should be little to no issues with the new proposed date but everyone will be notified of any changes as soon as we know them. Q: Will the club host another event in its place?
A: The club must consider the safety of our members as a top priority and while a lockdown is in effect we will not be hosting any events. If the lockdown is lifted by October long weekend we will endeavour to list an event but the committee considers this to be unlikely. Q: I have a question thats not listed above
