Velo seats in sw20

Looking to get a pair of velo seats gp90 to pass roadworthy because current seats aren't in the best condition.
Will all I be needing to buy from velo be the seats and the side mounts? Will it bolt straight onto factory rails?

Thanks

They wont mount to factory rails unless you find some way to modify, which would then make them probably useless for anything else.

Are you sure you are going to pass with the velo anyway?
Whats wrong with the current seats themselves?

Not sure if they'd pass, thought they'd be lowkey enough.
Current seats have peeling leather and needs a retrim. Wanted to get something affordable and at least ADR.

I bought a pair of 2nd hand, FIA type Velo seats with standard side mounts & fitted them in a Series 2 RX7. I imagine they would fit, its probably a similar amount of width to fit in the available space of an MR2. IIRC they were originally from a Ford Escort. Its possible the seats are available in different widths, not 100% sure though.

Nice seats IMO, I really liked them. I had a workshop fit them on the standard rails, cost around $650 for both, no idea whether that's a good price or not since I never really examined how they were mounted.

No idea of the legality, pretty sure the halo type (where the top of the seat extends around your head to form a 3 sided "halo") would be illegal. Being a true 2 seater would possibly mean that the non reclineable aspect wont matter. Rear seats were removed from my RX7 so it was technically a 2 seater. Making sure they are ADR compliant is a must, which I think the Velo seats are. These are all assumptions though.

Why don't you try getting in contact with Velo, pretty sure they are an Australian company.
