Carpet clips in the aw11

What the heck is with these clips?!

The centre pin is tiny and doesn't even want to lift the teeniest bit.

I've had great luck with trim clips in my life so far but these ones...
These ones have me totally stumped.

Forum, what's the right way to get them out without destroying them?

    Don't know which ones you're talking about but you do realize that some require that the central lock pin needs to be pushed in to unlock them.
