Historic registration for sw20

As its 2019, I believe the first of the sw20s (1990) will be now eligible for historic registration in NSW.

What I'm wondering is, when in 2019 will it be 30 years? Might seem like obvious answer but in the case of my car it's a personal import (in 97) but no where does it say what month it was manufactured...

I have mine on club registration here in Vic and entered my frame number into the following to find the month of manufacture.

Doesn't your car have the information plates on the forward bulkhead in the front trunk just behind the bonnet catch?
You just about have to stand on your head to read them.
Build date should be on there.

I've got the Kirkasaurus ones and am happy with them. I've also got one of them for sale if your interested (To fit the rear mount). They are not as harsh as a full poly mount as you still utilise the original rubber in the mount. Idle wobble wasn't much different than without them installed, but it certainly reduces the engine movement.

Full Poly mounts will give you much more vibration throughout the car which will be more noticeable at idle.

For the ACT, which generall follows the NSW rules, if you have one of the first SW20s made in December 1989 then it would be eligible for historic rego now. I'm pretty sure this applies now for NSW as well. Or move to Victoria and you get to register it at 25 years.

I have personal experience of the ACT rules, having registered a 29 December 1988 build BMW on historic rego in January last year. The Council of ACT Motor Clubs CRS registrar did query this as my rego paperwork listed the compliance date of March 1989 as the build date. So you can register a car at 29 years and less than a month if you havev the right build date.

dec 1989 is the start of production for the sw20,
frame number for the first car produced is SW200000113 and they go on 114,115,116 from there..
i have a jan 1990 gt turbo and its mid 4000`s for its frame number.
anyone else played the numbers game on toyoDIY??
ive found nothing from 01-110 but strangely SW20000111 comes up as a march 90 car so who knows.
SW200000125 is the first aussie spec car,SW200000133 is second and SW200000150 is 3rd.
last frame number is SW200114383  07/99.
another fun thing with toyoDIY- put your frame number in but with SW21 and see if you have a sister car!
