Tims bathurst turbo!
i thought I had a build thread for this already but I’ll start a new one, this is my 97 Bathurst I’ve had for quite some years now, it’s been a long process and a lot of late nights in the garage but it is all worth it after getting it back from the tuners, Engine set up is Gen 3 3sgte Manley rods Cp pistons Kelford cams 1750 cc injectors Link g4 ecu with COP conversion Gtx3563 turbo As well as plenty of other items obviously! I’ll keep this updated with any track days future mods I do to the car! Cheers guys

Beautiful build.
What cam profile are you running?
Did you get a dyno graph that you could share?

Here is the dyno graph (All the 240ish kw runs are from a last time I got it tuned on a basic setup) It obviously has a little more lag than most people would prefer.. but I’m a scum bag and don’t mind it, and due to the rest of the set up it honestly is very responsive when driving it on the road. We had to leave it on low boost as my fuel pump started to drop pressure over 310rwkw, next step twin pump setup and more power! As for cams I they’re 272’s i’ll Post up the spec sheet when I have it on me next

I thought about going to Trent to get a tune! How was the experience? If you don't mind sharing?

Tim - your turbo and results are great - builds are individual
Obviously in 4th or 5th gear at 60kms/ph your engine won’t have much get up and go in comparison to a v6, but that’s what a lower gear is for :) The power mid to high rpm looks huge. Enjoy the driving :)

Car is going great only issue is since doing the coil on plug conversion my tachometer obviously doesn’t work... I connected the two wires together and assigned it properly in the ecu but after some research it appears I need to setup some kind of resistor, I was thinking about going to a race pack dash but I would like to get the standard tacho up and running in the mean time. Has anyone on here had any experience setting up something like this! Any help appreciated!!

RobK could be your man for some advice here, he's a pretty knowledgeable wire bender. Flick him a pm if he doesn't see this question.

Thanks tony, got that part delivered today, all wired up and showing correct voltage but still a no go, I think I need to run a wire direct from cluster to the voltage booster. Does anyone know the correct wire pin for the tacho that plugs into the cluster?? It is a aus 97 Bathurst! Tia
