[PERTH] Toyota MR2 AW11 1987, 20v Black top. [SOLD]

Up for sale is my MR2 AW11. It has been in my family for a little over 20years now and has been well cared for. However, as per all cars of this age, Turning 30 years this year, it has it’s fair wear and tear. It’s a regretful sale, but I just do not have the time to enjoy it anymore and need something more practical and bigger. Basic details are as follows…

Throughout it’s life, it has been pretty much garaged 90% of the time, and under cover for the remainder. It is an Australian factory delivered MR2 with some minor upgrades, which include…
 
- Stock 20valve Blacktop Engine :- this engine provides the perfect balance between power without compromise to handling. It maintains the simple setup of NA however, with the added 40% power to make it go much harder. Specification of this engine include 120Kw of power, utilising 11.5:1 compression ratio, VVT setup, Quad Throttle and 20valves configuration. This engine is in stock trim, however, with some minor modification, some additional power can be found. The engine had a little over 69,000Km on the clock when it was transplanted into the car @ 167,000Km. This engine is fully registered and licenced with the car.
 
- Matched 20valve Gearbox :- When the conversion was performed, the stock gearbox that came with the 20v was taken over as well, which has its gears nicely match to the engine. The added benefit of this gearbox was that it also included LSD, which has considerably improved the handling and performance of the car.
 
- New exhaust system :- a new exhaust system was also custom made by Buttler Exhaust system. This includes custom mufflers, 2.5” mandrel bent system including a high flow catalyst converter.
 
- Suspension upgrade :- Full set of Billstein Springs matched up with KYB Shocks and Whiteline swaybars.
 
- Wheels upgrade :- A full set of Simmons B45 Wheels (The original B45) including Yokohama S-Drive Tyres for best grip possible. Wheels have been upgraded to 195/50R15. They are clad with fairly unused Tyres, as the car is not driven daily.
 
- Interior Upgrades :- Interior upgrade include Momo Wheel & Gear knob, as well as complete stereo upgrade with Pioneer deck, Front splits and an 8” sub in the back of the driver seat.
 
- Some miscellaneous items that are included :- Full Mechanical service manual and electric diagrams, Space saver Tire and Full Factory MR2 car Manual.
 
It’s great car and extremely enjoyable to drive. Most of the time I drive the car without the stereo on as to enjoy the tune of the quad throttle bodies and the sweet exhaust note. With a power to weight ratio of about 120w/kg, yet it maintains a very conservative fuel consumption of about 8Ltr/100Km.
 
At $10,990, this car is great value, and the car presents well for it's age, however the price is negotiable so any reasonable offers are considered.
