Photos: Feb 2017 Club Run – To the beach.

A word from the President,
 
Well the day started out with sunshine on our backs and the new club hats on our heads. Everyone gathered around with mocha lattes and egg mcmuffins. The BP at yatala was quite busy but we all squeezed in for the first run of 2017. Rob n Amz, Eric, Danny, Ben & Mary, Brady in dudemans old car, Dan and Imran, Zac and Erin, Grant and his daughter, Jamie and partner and Doug with Sam making a surprise showing half way down the mountain along the trip.
 

All in all it was a bloody great day with some outstanding scenery. We went up and down through a rain forest, broke down, called a tow truck, looked out over Mount Tamborine, got in the middle of a bike meet, chucked a u bolt, went up and down another mountain, passed a lake, passed multiple road police, bike cops and cyclists, went over the NSW border down another mountain, passed a river, went through cane farm and ended up at the beach for a massive feed and a drink. Everyone went for a swim and the ocean was so refreshing after the days journey.
 
We decided to trek back after buying a spare oil cap. We left Cabarita after the fully packed day of sun and surf on the coast and I couldn't be happier as the weather closed in just as we arrived back in Brisbane.
 
A big thanks to Rob and Amz for their support in creating the route as it was really enjoyable. To Danny for providing the crucial radios for contact and to Eric being employed with RACQ.
 
For all those missing and those that couldn't make it we look forward to seeing everyone in march for the Maleny run!
