Thanks Mike! for spotting the ECU got it for $150. Happy man. Car runs fine now so the problem was the ECU. So now I can save up for a links ecu later on when I,m ready for it. Now final touches painting, noise level and getting it through Regency Park inspection.

Rego done all legal, and back on the road. It's only been three years. I painted it myself. I may pay a professional painter later on. A much nicer car to drive than the black beast I had.

Plug and Play or wire in? I've just replaced my MR2 Link with a wire-in Monsoon myself, new loom is in the process of being built (when i can be bothered working on it) Links can do all the things a Haltech or Adaptronic can too. The wonderful thing about the Link is you can get the right ECU for the engine. So you don't have to go and buy a top-of-the-line ECU and then never use 80% of their functions the 3S platform is a bit of a dinosaur these days, so they don't need much processing power to run a 3S-GTE extremely well. Fortunately, I've managed to get my entire loom, ECU and pins replaced for roughly $1,500 All that's left is to finish the loom itself and I'll start driving again race you once Tailem opens up

Don’t do anything aftermarket then Mine was fine, until I went Gen 3 elecs, coil on plug conversion and just generally butchered the factory loom
On the upside, it’ll be pushing around 220rwkw on a stock turbo and stock boost on 98, just the engine build, W2A and coil packs in there

I have built 3sgte the motor has all the goodies like a Blue printed, balance Forge internal motor. Even a brand new steal crank from Japan. With enlarged oil feed in the block and oil jets, done by John Moyle Engineering. John Moyle Engineering and I built this motor with ARP, Cosmo, ACL, parts etc. Even the flywheel pressure plate is balanced with a six puck from the US. GT28RS Disco Potato with a .61 trim good for up to 17-18psi. Also custom plumbing and inter cooler, boost comes on early 2200rpm. May just add E85 1000cc injetors, fuel rail & fuel pump etc later on, if I want more power. I not going water to air, want to keep Air Con.
