Power FC AP Engineering HELP!

GUYS NEED HALPP:
Ok Here's the deal.... running an AP Engineering Power FC on a Gen2 3SGTE... The car is a 1990 so its a rev1 (i know AP Engineering one is designed for the rev2) so I repined it to suit as they both use gen2 motors and have seen it done before.
Aimed to do the following:
MAT sensor conversion - deleting cold start injector
AIT sensor - Used engine lid temp sensor as advised.
GM 3 Bar Map Sensor: Attempted to wire this in the factory location and change the PIM settings.
Ok.... SO...
Heres the conflicting data:
AIT and MAT Wiring....
People Say AIT = THA / E2 MAT = THG / E2
PEOPLE ALSO SAY ITS THE OPPOSITE>!?!?!
Can someone please tell me the correct way...does it matter??
Currently, we have the MAT going to THG and the AIT using the Old AFM loom with THA...
NEXT: THE BLOODY MAP SENSOR..
Can someone first up... give me a detailed description on what the the MAT vs the MAP do in the MR2.... there seems to be a lot of confusion around the 2 ... as many cars simply use just a MAP sensor to manage fuel etc.
I am aware that the MAP was used to implement fuel cut on the stock ECU... and perhaps tell the ECU to switch between closed and open loop fueling???
Anyways...
What I found were people just cutting the old MAP out... and wiring in a new GM3 BAR unit (what we did) and then altering the PIM settings with the Datalogic software for the PFC.
Further more... MAP readings could also be used via the Boost Control port on the side of the FC (SO I READ)... if this was the case would the factory one unplugged from vacuum and disconnected?? There's really very little information on it..
Here's the forum posts and websites I've been using to gather info...
Anyone with more information or if you're currently running this setup, please message below or PM me.
ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

    MAP - manifold air pressure
    MAT - Manifold air temp
One is used to measure the pressure of air in the inlet manifold (boost/vac) and is therefore used for the load sensing of the engine (MAP sensor). The map sensor is used on the gen 3 to calculate the fuel and timing, instead of the airflow meter as used on the grn 2. The MAT sensor is to measure the temperature of the air going into the engine, as the air temp effects the air density, so it is a load correction sensor.

My understanding is that with the gen 2 ap engineering power fc, you wire the delco 3 bar map sensor to the 3 pin connector on the side of the box. In which case you can remove the factory sensor. Gen 3 ecus are the ones where you wire in the the delco sensor where the stock ones are (based on the links you have listed.)

It does matter if you mix up iat and mat. Mat is the important one, as that will effect the timing and fueling.
