How to remove bottom bolt for coolant tree?

Hi all,

I need to replace my coolant tree. I was able to remove the top easy but the bottom bolt is difficult to reach. Any offer any suggestion. Would taking the distributor cap off give me enough room? Any risk with throwing off ignition timing from taking the cap off. Or is there a better way?

Taking only the cap off will not affect timing. That would only happen if you removed the distributor body.

Don't Know about the 3SGTE motor, but I use a 3/8 drive compact six sided socket with an extension to reach that bolt.
Tight squeeze, but it works OK for a gen2 3SGE.
For tight bolts I would stay well away from cheap twelve sided sockets.
I have found for work on these motors you need high quality tools or you will round the bolt heads.
