E153 LSD Gearbox - Rebuild or Replace??

I've got crunching on 3rd thats only getting worse with time, at the moment its only in higher revs but still annoying. I'm wondering if its better to rebuild the gearbox or source another one? It seems that if you don't get the right person to rebuild it then you could end up having problems again very quickly and a much lighter wallet to go with it :(

This box was rebuilt around 5 yrs ago by the previous owner and while I do think the friction modifier added for the LSD has caused the synchros to wear much faster it seems like it should have lasted longer.

Interested to hear others experiences and maybe recommendations for a good re builder in Brisbane.

I was under the impression Friction modifiers made things worse for the syncros in e153 boxes.

If you intend to keep the box i would get it rebuilt if you can afford it and only use the recommended fluid.

Yeh that right the friction modifiers are no good, but it was added by the previous owner and the damage is done now. It only reduces chatter too and I don't really care about that, rather the extra noise and smooth shifting!
