Revers lights not working after a short, but all fuses ok?
gday guys and gals. Ok was installing a revering camera last night. While using a light tester to find the revers power wire I bumped and it got a quick shorting out. Then no revers lights. Go figure right. Anyway I went to check for the burnt off fuse,(under drivers side) to my surprise no fuses where blown. But still no revers light Turing on when shift is placed in revers. Checked the fuse box under the bonnet, again fuses or ok. So I went bad to the plug in the boot. Located a power wire and used it on the not working reversing power lead. Touched the two and the revers lights come on. So when power applied the lights work, so both neg & pos wires must still be in contact.
Question is: is there a fuse located anywhere else for the revers lamps only? Or has anyone else ran into this same self inflicted problem. Was 3:30am I was nodding off, little tester slipped to next pin in the plug. Anyway anyone with any idea/s on this one. I have a fair knowledge of wiring, But I am no auto electrician.
Thanks
