AW11 1989 Restore

Well, once again, picked up a little aw11 to add to my collection.
Engine wise, poor shape, other than that should turn out to be a great little addition to my family.
Its a 1989 bigport, in great shape.

Heres a few pics.

So I've got the engine out ready for rebuilding & have installed new coolant hoses atm.

More to come.

Your partner is either the most understand person in the world or suffers the same addiction ;-)

Swear I've seen this aw11 around somewhere before. I remember the Morpowa sticker.

Probably just on Gumtree or something.

Hey Shaz, you know how it is, can never have enough.. just cause your asking, you'll be please to know I just brought another sw20 turbo the other day too... so it now makes (7) total.

    1996 GTS Sw20 turbo
    1999 Bathurst Sw20 NA
    1991 GT Sw20 turbo
    1991 Sw20 NA (Track Car)
    1989 Aw11 bigport
    1988 Aw11 smallport (Track Car)
1985 Aw11 smallport (road registered - Track Car)

That's the current MR2 list.  Then there's the ones that you have bought, fixed & then sold.  Would hate to think how many have come & gone.  You definitely have an addiction. lol.  At least it's a healthy addiction.

I have seven myself at the moment but culling one as soon as David gets over here to pick it up. Had to cull it to make room for the Crown I just bought.

Looks like still seven unless anyone is after a red Aus delivered hardtop NA. Engine not running at moment but was when parked in front of house. Needs oil line replaced and brake master reinstalled to be drivable.

Well.. slight change to the build on this little white adub.
I've now decided on swapping out the bigport 4age with again another smallport I've sourced from a 1992 toyota seca (ae93).

    More to come!
