Keeping supercharger case cool

Quick question,
Would having a bit of airflow over the actual supercharger help keep it from getting badly heatsoaked?
The supercharger is in a MR2 spyder and how i had to position it I believe it would have next to no airflow going over it so it would have no real way to shed some of the heat the compression produces.
i do have a water/methanol kit that injects the mixture before the supercharger but that was done more to make sure the water/methanol mixture is part of the intake charge more than to help keep the blowers temps in check.
a intercooler is not really feasible and I'm yet to find one of those water/air ones that fit between the blower and manifold

    Every bit does help, but you're fighting a losing battle in that regard. 
     
    Any supercharger setup should have a W2A intercooler as part of it's make up regardless of vehicle type. Ones that do not are stretched to their max straight out of the box. Fitting smaller pulleys for more boost just makes it worse. 
     
    Are you logging your inlet temps? Maybe add more water/in different areas.

    My water/methanol is my intercooler.
    There is no practical way to add any form of a intercooler without redesigning the entire supercharger and its manifold.
    I used to log inlet temp after the supercharger but the data was very erratic and often read wrong, the stock maf can read the air temp before the supercharger and is positioned about 10 inches before the water/methanol injector.
    When the water/methanol kit starts to inject during boost you can see the temps on the maf sensor drop very quickly.
    Its running the original pulley and makes 9psi of boost which is plenty

    Maybe just a small thermofan to move the hot air away from the blower might help?

    A Phenolic space will help with heat soak from the engine/manifold into the supercharger.
    Other then that, you either need to buy a supercharger with a case cooling circuit (Kenne Bell), do some water injection pre supercharger (reduce rotor temps, better sealing, continue to use a post supercharger water injection if you need an additional intercooling), ensure the supercharger is within it's medium or consider relocating it to a cooler section of the engine bay.
