Need New Turbo

Heys guys, today my turbo **** itself when i was driving home as well as the wastegate(i think), there is no boost at all and a loud whining and air noise, i was aware of a small boost leak but hadnt found it yet as well as an oil leak from the turbo. Anyway, if anyone is selling a ct20 or ct26 second hand in good working order please let me know, im trying to find best prices as i want to keep it as cheap as possible(sounds stingy) but i currently have no job and money is low. Thanks guys

    Hey Pplater,

I have a CT26 (pictured) that has been sitting around since late 2011.  It was in good working order when it was taken off and has been wrapped up since then.   At the time the engine had to come out for a new head gasket and I was advised that with age the bolts on the turbo can be hard (very very difficult) to get off with the engine in.   It was the 2nd time in 12 months that the engine had been out and I was not keen to do it again (and haven't had to since).  The Aussie dollar was at parity with USA so I purchased a CT27 (a CT26 rebuild with a bit of extra work).  To me it was a case of spend early to save more later (preventative maintenance).

Other than some minor play in the turbine, it was pushing along nicely in 2011.

$100 plus postage (about $30 to NSW).

    PM me if interested

    Cheers
    Colin
