Jaemus's V6 converted SW20 - The Dandism Project (YouTube vlog)

Hello everyone!

I'm back, in yet another SW20, and this time around I'm going to document the progress / mods / repairs / life and times of my latest car, a 3VZ-FE V6 converted SW20 - more or less exclusively in the form of a YouTube series called The Dandism Project :)

    Hi
Is the plastic 3D adapter plate O.K or should it be made out of metal ?

    Eddie

I agree printed ABS isn't the ideal material, but it's not really under a lot of stress physically, it's just that ring it has to turn and it's not structurally related to the steering wheel's mounting. If I have any trouble with it I can have someone CNC cut it from aluminum or billet plastic like nylon / delrin / UHMW

Essdub. Yup I'm going to have a crack at it. Possibly going to use a little microcontroller with a wireless module to communicate the button presses to other devices. It may tie in with the plans I have for the stereo and dash cluster :)

There are Steering Wheel Input (SWI) controllers that are available for selected head units, that may just do the job for you.  Hardest part would probably be making a loom tidy enough to get from the wheel to the stereo! :)

Quick update; this car was sold this morning, however I had already replaced it with another MR2 :D Not sure if i'm going to continue making videos at this stage as the new one is less unique (just a JDM GT turbo hardtop) but we will see.

Thanks to all who followed along!
