2nd AW11 track car in prep

Well... after an awesom day out at Mallala over the weekend, with all the guys & testing out my latest Sw20 & Aw11 track cars, I came home so excited, wanting to build another one for track.

I picked this little adub up the next day for next to nothing of a good friend of mine, who was originally planing to do the same, but has his hands ful with other projects.... so here it is.

Currently has a big port in it, that will change quick smart, I'm picking up a smallport for it this weekend :-)

Plans - same as my other track hacks... build it as cheaply as possible, get ready for the trackday in Oct 31st, & have lots of fun with it.

More to come!

OK... so here was the deal breaker... as too track this out or perhaps sell it & search for an AW11 in poorer shape.  Till I saw this :-(((

So.. I started tearing it apart, prepping it for another cheap track pig!

Got the Big port engine running sweet.  Full engine, cooling & brake system flush, replaced with fresh fluids, etc.

AND have this ready to install :-)))

More to come:

    Update:

As I've always wanted to utilise my sw20 track wheels, I've finally managed to fit them now to the adub.

I may have a little to much poke...  Now for some flares.

Also nearly finished the dash & interior.

    Next: install the smallport engine.

If the wheels stuck out any more it'd be classed as an open wheeler lol....

    Some Progress :-))

Started marking guards ready to cut to allow my sdub wheels to fit.

Fitted my new 5 stud wheel adaptors

Getting the rear ready for its hair cut.

Was a lot tougher as the rears are double sheet metal lined.

Installed some rubber edging for finish & protection.

    More to come!

    Continued:

They even look better now with the standard 14' wheels fitted. Now it doesn't look like a skinny person under a big umbrella!
Its just about ready for the next track day :-))

Looks very cool but I think it needs a 3.0 V6 to push it along!

I would love to steve, but funds only stretched enough for a smallport atm.
