MrKrazyee's Sdub

So close to 2 months ago I got myself a fairly nice 1992 MR2 SW20 N/A, now I knew before I went to look at it that there would be a bit of TLC required considering the price was only $5000, these are the photos I was sent before going to check it out

So I went and checked it out, and the minute I drove it, I knew I had to have it, so I paid the money and drove it home and started to write up a list of things I want/need to get fixed or replaced:
-No horn (Wired one in)
-Front bar is aftermarket and isn't to appealing to the eye
-Speedo is currently not working (Looking into re wiring it back to the wiring harness when I can find a diagram)
-Engine Lid didn't have a striker plate so it wouldn't close (Picked one up last night and can finally lock my engine lid)
-Chrome wheels (keeping my eye out for something appealing)
Now to the mods and pluses
-BC Racing V1 Coilovers
-Custom Exhaust system
-Low kms 134,000
-8 months rego
-Fresh Tyres
-Targa's aren't so leaky

I am definitely happy with my purchase as before this I was driving a Nissan Tiida, It's certainly a massive step up haha, but the attention is certainly different and annoying with everyone trying to tell me to "rip skids" and "light up a set" I guess it's what I have to put up with when owning one of the better cars in my trade school.

Anyway, if you have any suggestions or opinions I'd love to hear them.

So, turns out plans went sour pretty quickly with the car, when buying it i didnt take it to a mechanics which i should have as i later found that the chassis has some damage that affected the way it drove, and enough to see it should have been written off.

Anyways, i thought it was time to give up and just get a daily until i get my fulls, but i just couldnt pull myself to getting rid of the 2, so i did a heap of searching for ideas on what to do, and in the end getting a rolling shell was ny best option, so im currently in the process of buying an na 91 black hardtop import rolling shell, which looks immaculate on the shell side of things.

Will keep this post updated when the shell arrives.

I'm glad that you're working something out. It would have put a lot of people off, finding damage like that.
    Well done for persevering!

So, my 2 shell has shown up today in the same manner all good cars do. By Tow truck

obviously first thing first was inspecting everything, and by god it was perfect, the interior (although most of it missing) was very clean looking, the engine bay(waiting for my engine) is tidy and the frunk is also very tidy, now surprisingly this 91 shell has Power steering and has AC yet my 92 didn't but oh well, I was also given 2 parts boxes with the car which I will get to eventually :P

So anyway the plans now are that tomorrow depending if the weather will hold off, will be getting the interior out of my current one into it and start working on the basic stuff, and next week do a motor pull and drop.

I'm very excited to continue this project! wish me luck!
