How to block fuel send line

Hi all,

I am in the process of dropping my engine and the last thing i need to disconnect is the fuel send line from the fuel filter. When disconnected from the top the filter leaks fuel. How have people managed to block this off as putting the banjo bolt back in the filter doesn't seal properly.

Thanks.

It's leaking because there's pressure built up in the tank.
Crack the fuel cap to release the pressure, then put the bango bolt back in to prevent foreign objects falling in.

It also helps if your tank is nearly empty.
When you first crack it, fuel will run out for a short while until the hoses empty, then it should stop.
If the tank is near full however. it won't stop even if the cap is off.

Cracked the filler cap and disconnected the line, no fuel leaking so all sorted. Now to get on with dropping the motor. Thanks for the help.
