AW11 N/A Rear Cusco Strut Bar Install

Hi I was just wondering if anyone could help me out :/ I have just installed the rear Strut Bar but I'm having issues with engine lid clearance on the left side of lid. I'm not sure whether or not the lid will need modification or if I have done something wrong on installation ... If anyone has had some experience on installing one of these or could shed some light it would be greatly appreciated !!!

I've got a round bar Cusco fitted to my aw11 (supercharged body and engine lid) and the lid doesn't touch it.
Could you adjust the lid to sit slightly higher on the left side?
Can you swap the mounts around to move the position of the bar?

The lid is sitting higher at the moment because its hard up against the bar like it does latch and close it just has a bit of pressure on it and isn't flush ... Um and I think its a symmetrical bar like its pretty similar on both sides. I'm pretty sure the supercharged and N/A Cusco Strut Bars are different also :/.

Yep I'm using the same straight bar same as you. N/A version.

Can you post a pic of the engine bay with it installed?

Unfortunately all NA MKI's require slight modification to the engine lid on the left side in order to properly fit the standard Cusco bars. You have to bend the lower rain gutter portion of the lid to gain clearance. If you look at most Cusco sales sites the NA bar will have a warning note about this. Cusco really blew it on this as a slightly different design, placing the bar on the forward side of the plenum, can clear the lid completely. They should have corrected this ages ago, but apparently were just too cheap to do so. FYI: the SC lid is completely different and doesn't have the same issues.
