Mrskylighter Wagon looks great now! You going to ditch the yellow number plates as well? The basic slimline personalised black/white ones wouldn't stand out as much.
Absolutely buddy. Just a simple black on white background re-make. I'm borderline offended by the ongoing cost of having a different coloured plate in NSW. Will also ditch the plate holder & put a spacer on the front so I don't have to bend the plate. A fellow Leggie owner told me I could get one from certain cars @ Pick N Payless. Apart from that, will change the foggy bulbs to white & get LED white license plate, reverse & interior lights. Will probably buy a few of those so I can do the same on the MR2 & Lexus.

Ok, so I think I'm going to have to change the title of this thread again. Sold the IS250. It was an excellent car & served me very well (shared great moments in my life with that car), but I've been a bit sad that I can only really enjoy a "fun" car on my own. Like many here, have a daughter so the MR2 & RX7 aren't feasible. My Wife was "pressuring" to buy me a birthday present (I resisted heavily). Guess she knew all along that I'd always want another car. She approved a purchase of my choice, so I went out on the hunt. F80 M3 was on the list, AWESOME CAR! Massive respect, there's so much in it & it's truly a great drive. The purchase price is significant enough, but the thought of it depreciating $1000 dollars a month, was a bit too much for me to stomach. Also considered RC-F, but 2-doors won't cut it. C63 AMG is nice, but I've had bad experiences with the silver arrow in the past & I really don't like the new shape. Audi......cool but I will never own that marque again. Enter the Lexus IS-F! Picked it up last week. It ticked all the boxes: 4 door FUN in an Australian V8 kinda way First of what I'm sure will be many trips to the petrol station: Not going to bother lying or fooling myself. I will not keep this car stock. Before I drove off & after handing over a wad of money, installed an Injen intake on the spot: Within days (took days rather than a day due to an interstate business trip), I purchased & fitted a Borla header back exhaust with high-flow cats. Can't have a V8 without that sound! Will take a bit of time later on to give details of the IS-F. I LOVE IT!!!

Bought some goodies which will be fitted during the week. The car previously had a Toms lip kit, which was removed before I bought it. I tracked down the buyer & bought the bits back. Toms front diffuser lip & rear diffuser. More carbon fibre. Being touched up by my panel beater right now as the rear had a bit of damage (I'll clean it up & even out the other side to match): Apparently the front lip/diffuser is a proven design/improvement. Not that I'd often make use of it to be honest.

Very nice Jay. The joys of torque low in the rev range :) The diffuser will look awesome. Just fitted one to our Saab Aero wagon that looks pretty much identical to the one you have. Any idea yet as to what rims are going on it?

The 19" Buddyclubs from my IS250 are going onto the F. Removed them before selling the 250. The size/offset will match up the same. Front guards are bigger on the F, but the hubs sit the rims out further, which just about compensates. Rears are identical. I was quite fond of those wheels & am sure they'll match up well. Benefit there is I can also retain factory spec/profile tyres or even a bit wider F+R. I'm very conscious of not hurting the handling capabilities of this car. Its got the MY11 revision, which has different geometry & shocks/springs to the earlier ISF's. Result is, they match the E92's lap times (beats C63 AMG), whereas the original ISF spec was a few seconds behind. My goal is that it matches or beats the best from the all-motor V8 Supersedan era. The current breed of F80 M3 & TT C63 are a bit out of reach, but it should hold its own.

Only items left for me to purchase are headers & Swift springs. Was considering coilovers, but think I'll wait. I'm conscious of not going backwards in terms of handling, so a coilover upgrade will be a bit costly (funds & time wise) at this point given I'd want to spend a fair amount of time setting it up. I've already lined up some headers for purchase, but won't mention the details until I've got them in hand. Luckily I got the car before much more was removed. CF steering wheel, IS300 gear knob & Think Design CF bits: USDM tail lights (extra side light compared to local models): Wald genuine CF rear bootlid "ducktail" OEM visors: Updated DRL's Few extra shots after cleaning it:

You read the isf build on motoiq? Might give you some ideas if your looking for parts. When you need new rotors, give garage88 a call for some dixcel gear. Makes a huge difference over stock.

Yes I have actually. Was a good read, although I think they really should do headers as apparently it yields a fairly large power gain. I've already got thicker rear sway bar (F-sport from memory) & may grab some FIGS adjustable arms which are available to me now (castor, camber adjustment etc). I've already got new Project Mu rotors (came with the car), which I'll install with some matching Project Mu pads (NS400 most likely). Will give Dixcel a go next perhaps. The factory 6 pot Brembos on the car are awesome in factory form, so I don't think it needs more stopping power. Only lighter 2-piece rotors. The only issue with the factory brakes, is the extreme brake dust & hard pads (they wear the rotors quite fast), although that's commonplace with all current Lexus models.

Here you go. These ISF rims are on my Dads IS350 now. Even on the 350, they don't sit nice (too tucked in), added spacers on the 350 to make it look a bit better.
