Where to find AW11 air intake scoop / snorkel

Does anyone know where can find an intake scoop for the AW11? The only one I've found is the one below but at $330 with shipping from the UK it's a bit on the steep side.

I bought mine from the people above. I agree its a touch on the steep side (shipping is a mega killer), but it is good quality and fits pretty well.
The price is also the reason i havent bought one for the other side to duct at the turbo/oil cooler.

I believe feral mr2 used to make them, or had a batch made, as knightrous has one of his.

i'll probably get around to making some of these at a later date when i am a bit more sorted out.  probably whenever i move back to qld.
i have a bodgy mold of another one i made (not the one knightrous has, that was part of my 1st one i ever did) but i need to make one from the mold and refine it and make a proper mold.

got a list of stuff i want to reproduce for the aw11, but doing so is a timely and costly exercise.

I'd definitely be interested in one of those and possibly other parts as well. I haven't found one at a reasonable price yet.

if i was set up years ago (i'm talking early 2000's) when i was making fibreglass bits for my aw11 i would of made a fortune.  the guys from the states hammered my email every day.

oh well.. it was just another pipe dream that went to waste.

will let you know when and if i come into a situation that i am able to supply demand.

one thing you need to remember timmy. anything composite has a cost which in term makes the price.

that's why i learnt to do it myself.

Yeah absolutely right, the unfortunate thing about that particular one is how the UK pound has gone up and the shipping is rather brutal as well which I think should make it a fair bit cheaper if sourced from somewhere closer.

the problem i have with the one in the uk is that IMO it's mouth is a bit to low down the pillar.

even the one that was made in the states after i couldn't supply the demand from the mr2oc forums is too low IMO. the opening needs to be higher up the pillar for better air catchment.
*this is my opinion on looking at wool tuft tests done on the aw11*..

not the best pic, i have better somewhere on a hdd. but this is an idea of the last one i made.
