OUT AND BACK IN TIME FOR THE F1 GP - SUNDAY 15 MARCH 2015 RUN This coming Sunday the 15th of March sees the running of the Australian F1 GP in Melbourne, with the main race due to start at 3.00PM real Australia (Queensland) time - not that weird Daylight Saving time thingo they have down south.
To make it a complete day for all lovers of everything car we are putting on our monthly Run scheduled for Sunday at an earlier than normal time, and with a shorter route that should get us back to civilisation for the Run completion at about 12.15PM. At the finish point members and guests can either stay for lunch or head off to their respective best GP watching locations with ample time to get where they want to go.
None of this means that the Run will be anything less than the high quality activity that the Club prides itself on. The recon group has spent a lot of hours finding some great new roads and we will be travelling over both top twisty bits and some big sweepers.
Meeting point is at the BP Service Station, located on the left hand side of the Warrego Highway (travelling west) at Blacksoil 4036, 1 km before the new overpass to the Brisbane Valley Highway to Esk (there is a Caltex Service Station 300m before the BP),
at 8.30am for 9.00am departure.
As per normal Club procedures a detailed Run Sheet will be sent out via PM 24 hours before the Run starts to all who have put their name on the following Roll Call. See you all at the Meeting Point.
