I've entered.
No turbo upgrade for me this time though I may run E85 to squeeze every little bit of power possible out of the CT26!

Hi B24,
My EVO friends have read the regs and they think that they are unable to enter. Is this the case?
For example, Marlin needs to be in the circuit class though doesn't have a cage.
Are the 3 of them welcome to enter again?

They are invited to come along as they have been in previous years. There seems to be an issue with the line between circuit and street as there are some cars which should be there but do not have a cage.
What is the issue? Tyres?
I will look into the classes to see what can be done.
The AWD cars will have their own class. They will not be eligible for outright honours. There are Three Subaru's expected, Caites car, a WRX rally car and the Mod street spec WRX which ran last year. A friend is looking at bringing a 400+ R33 caged GTR so there could be a great competition with the AWD cars.

Steve said something about the standard EVO contact patch being 37"
I'm not sure what he's talking about.
Thanks.

He is talking about tyre patch.
We have 255 rear/ 235 front. 10" rear/ 8" front. That is 36" tyre patch for modified street.
A EVO has 245 AWD. That is the issue of +37" tyre patch. I had the impression it was 235mm which is 36" tyre patch.
I will have to look into it.

If they are in a separate 4wd class anyway, does it matter?

I'm trying to get a mate from work interested and he had similar queries regarding his stock 370Z and the factory tyre widths.

From a logical perspective his car is probably competitive with the modified >2L class so it should't be an issue that he couldn't run in the street class.  After all the class restrictions are designed around MR2s.

Can we please open the registration to the 1st timers as well to encourage new MR2 participants?

I'm planning 2-3 track days before the MTC for testing etc, and I'd like to ensure my finances, admin, and leave plans are squared away well in advance so I can concentrate on the car itself.

Thank you
