Well we will keep it the same as it has been for the last three years. There was a email about some drag races so will see what we can do. I have something in mind. Watch this space. We need a drone! Would be very cool to have one of these flying around over the weekend.

Holidays booked! taking the 8th to the 18th off. Might see if I can squeeze some more tracks in whilst I am down there

Sounds great Eric. Look forward to catching up again. I guess we could spend a day at Marulan as its only a few km's from Wakefield. SMP is a possibility but depends if the track is open and there are some spots for us. Only issue with SMP is the cost. It can get up to 400+ for the day. The drag strip could also be an option with Aaron or Rob the best to talk to. Guess I better do some homework on 2016. Time will come around pretty quick!

Sorry for the late reply Rick. Minimum age is 16 years. Must have wrist to ankle non flammable clothing, sign indemnity form. Just spent some time at Paul Brell's workshop. Paul and two other mechanics will be back in 2016. Said they really enjoyed their time with us and look forward to another great weekend. So we will have three from Pauls stable to look after the cars. It would pay (everyone) to have your car inspected and track ready a few weeks before arriving at MTC. This allows time for breakages only, not preparation when you arrive at the track. One unfortunate soul did not check his oil which ended in a spun bearing and a full engine rebuild. Its a shame but a lesson learnt. Another believed he had a loose exhaust shield. Paul stated it sounded like a main bearing but the car went on unabated. Not long after this car had a hole in the side of the block and his weekend was over. So, please make sure your cars are well prepared and if one if the mechanics states a issue, take heed as it may save you a lot of grief. Sonic Boom/Katsumasa is planning on returning to Australia for 2016. If we can organise some support with storage and transport of his car, he will bring it over with him. Anyone interested in helping out, stand on the soapbox or send me an email.

Also interested... Less in the awards, although a trophy is always welcome :P I'll be interested in getting my place in MTC16 confirmed soon too, as well as getting on that car carrier Mike. Lock me in for both :)

Also, I'll add that I'm going to see if I can't get a couple of other people in on it as well. They aren't MR2 owners, but still have Toyotas at least. I know MR2's have preference, but a nice JZA70 and JZX100 would stand out a bit. And a 180SX drift car if that's still happening this year. I'm sure Team Sonic Boom would be interested to meet him and see his set up, even in a filthy Nissan. The SA host looks to be pretty huge this year, regardless of those extras. Super keen!

Mike did mention a few more keen on coming over from S.A. Are you planning on picking up a few spots on the trailer? I have always allowed for more than just the MR2 so it will not be an issue. I mean, we have EVO's there for god sake!! As for the drifting, there is still some thought into this one as it did take up some time in 2015 (which is at a premium over the two days) with only a two or three cars participating. It is also recognised as a 'drift demonstration' in the safety plan with the management on the day complaining about people learning instead of actual demo's. I may change the wording but to have the drift session, there needs to be six cars and good drivers to make it work. It may be worth talking to some of the NSW drift crews to see if they are having a drift day very close to MTC at Marulan, EC or Wakefield Park.

Steve, If all goes to plan, I have an 8 car carrier bringing our cars over for 2016. ATM all but 2 spots are left.

Nathan and I are keen. Not sure what we will bring yet - Red AW11 Silvertop and/or the AW11 3L V6 Supercharged Blue thing - they both need some love but there is still heaps of time I guess. Really enjoyed last year even though we didn't get much track time (car issues) - It was fine when we put it on the trailer but coughing and spluttering when we took it off :-) Really appreciated Paul and Geoff's help as well! Steve, did you eventually get the 20v sorted & running? we all felt your pain mate.. would love to see the blue 3L V6 adub, nearly purchased it myself a few times. Hope to see you both again at MTC 2016.
