I'll focus on improving the weakest link (me) before I start spending big money on power improvements.

Looks like I will be looking into some options for a little more power with reliability for next year as well.

Firstly I would like to thank Steve and all concerned with the success of  MTC16,  my third MTC.  This is more than a race meeting, its a place where you come to meet familiar faces through the years and enjoy their company to share stories and learn from many experienced individuals.

Eric

What happened with your 3sgte? is it ok?

Unfortunately I did not race on the 12th as my engine had boiled over in my garage the day before.  I had planed to run on the 12th but having a closer look at my logs made the previous day, I found engine intake air temps of 80 degs C and  uncontrollable coolant temps so I decided not to run as I new I would have the same issue again.  Engine is fine as no problems with trip back to Sydney. Will let you know what I find to cause these problems. The 35 degs C outside temps did not help.

I saw intake temps higher than 80 with my car. Paul (the Falcon) was also running over 80.

Also my logs displayed the engine was running lean under full boost. Only ever seen this on the 11th Jan. I will be fitting larger injectors.  Currently 540 cc.

MTC15 the logs displayed the WB had stopped working as the sensor got too hot so fitted a heat sync to sensor for MTC16. Now WB giving continuous readings.

Adrian
For turn 3 I tend to stay more in the middle of the road rather than go further to the left. I used to do a late turn in and stay close to the left but someone suggested to stick to the middle and it felt faster so that's what I do now. At MTC, Geoff Fear said I should go further left (like i used to do) so I tried that and that felt fast as well. Slower going into 3 but i could carry more speed through 4. For my driving and my car, I guess it doesn't matter too much.

Steering ratio- mine is non power steering so has the slower rack. Quicker steering would be nice but I haven't felt mine is a problem or holding me back. Only time I need to grab another handful of lock is if I need to make a big correction or do a skid/spin.

I think high power cars show up the problems. Even Ken drove it and said your car is so twitchy and a hand full to control.

That was due to having the accident early on and using a Camber roll centre adjuster on one side of the car only. It got you back on the track but was why the car felt the way it did. That was what i mentioned after driving your car.

All of that can be dialed out once repairs have been made.
