grosso News on my car, it needs a rear sub chassis frame, spoiler and a paint job. I will be replacing the suspension with new coil overs and fixing the bump steer. I change the suspension as to Travis info on the forum. May also take of that big turbo replace it with gt28 which I already have.
That's great! I hope to see the new developments in action at MTC 2016! I may also have a different turbo by then. My CT26 has been very good to me though
The current big Turbo is great for Mallala, as it a power and brake track, but at Wakefield track it is hard work, so if I come back with this motor I use gt28 on it which will bring on boost 2200rpm, have less power up top but better drive out of the corner, or i might go for a 2gr. If Some one buys my running gear.

Knightrous Currently editing 40GB of video from Rick/Emma. Unfortunately it's in a weird format from the JVC camera, so I've had to convert it all first :P
Due to how some of it was filmed, I will have to do some big blocks of video, and not just individual videos of people.
If there is any good footage of my car, can I send you a usb stick to put all the raw footage on so I can edit my stuff myself?

We filmed the regularity session with your car in parts of it, and have your complete shootout lap. If Aaron is running short on time then i'll see what i can manage. The JVC cameras do use a unique format, and our footage isnt exactly professional, but Emma did the best she could (she'd never videod anything before) considering she spent 2-3 hours each day standing out in the hot sun. I can edit the footage into shorter segments if needed, but i'll need a bit of time as i'm back at work now :(

Thoughts on my first MTC (and hopefully not the last). To start off, a massive thankyou to Steve for all his hard work (bordering on insanity) for putting such an awesome event together! Secondly another thankyou to everyone supporting Steve in the lead up and on the day, photographers and marshals baking in the hot sun, plus everyone else for offering great advice and being a bunch of great people. The comradery , enthusiasm and passion for MR2's / cars in general and racing was second to none. Despite the aftermath on facebook / the forums, I didn't notice any politics or elitism which is to be commended for a group 40+ people coming together for a competitive event. It really is a testament to the organisation and the MR2 community. MTC2016 was the first track event that I have been properly timed. I came down to Wakefield not really caring too much about tyres or times, just wanted to drive, learn and have fun. I was amazed to see what Nathan, Mikey, Rob Chestnut, Adrian, Rick and others could do with N/A AW11's and SW20's, even more so with Geoff Fear's Pulsar. My priorities have now changed (become conflicted) and I need to find a budget to match! The format over the two days was excellent, exposing a novice like myself to various motorsport disciplines and building confidence for the full track on the second day. My favourite event was punishing the car around the hillclimb, reminding me of all the hinterland roads we enjoy up in Qld and northern NSW (unconstrained by road surface, lane markings, traffic or speed limits). The event overall was well organised and professionally run by a bunch of volunteers, drivers were courteous and patient when overtaking slower cars or those on a cool down lap. It was a mid-week "weekend" that suits anyone passionate about cars and enjoys driving, track experience or not. Spending a few nights at Aaron's "house of 1MZ" and witnessing Eric's 2GR adventure has also rekindled my aspirations for a V6 Adub. I'm kicking myself for not noticing WOTAMI was for sale and picking up a bargain (I paid more for parts several years ago). Again I can't sufficiently communicate how impressed I am with the event and the people. Someone mentioned it was just like going back to school camp without the dickheads. I sincerely hope that MTC will continue in one form or another if things become too difficult with Wakefiled management. I'd be happy to travel to SA, Vic or assist with an event up in Qld (Morgan Park or Lakeside + hillclimb "pub/track crawl") plus I'll join forces with Eric and try and get more Qld interest in MTC2017. Anyway I hope to see you all next year with better tyres and brakes!

stukaIn the queue to the boat I managed to lock myself out of the car so I had to break the passenger window to get in otherwise I would have missed the boat. The look on the on the other drivers and kids faces as I took to the car with a hammer was priceless! That is ridiculous (and hilarious), I can only imagine the frantic stress you must have been under. I hope you managed a decent sleep on the ferry overnight. After my drive to/from Sydney, I'd highly recommend travelling at night during summer without aircon! Minimal traffic and mobile cameras, minimal roadworks and delays + cooler temps! It does take additional preparation and time though being rested enough to last the night on the road, however you could at least sleep on the boat during the day.

This is the session where i recorded my best ever time (1:16.3) at Wakefield Park in 36 degree heat! According to Racechrono, if i'd managed to string together my best sectors i would have done a 1:15.06, so a high 1:14 should be possible if i get my act together next year. Also had my biggest off ever at the end! https://youtu.be/hb_WRmddZu0

Haha yeah that was a good off at the end! Good work Rick. Here are some words of advice on how you could've improved the fastest lap (lap 6): - On turn 2 you missed the apex on the right, which would've cost you speed on the straight going up the hill - On turn 6 you could've straightened out earlier and gone closer to the ripple strip on the left afterwards, giving you more straight-line speed before the fishhook - At the fishhook you turned in too early and you locked up a bit which sounded like it was due to the gear changes while braking I am by no means an expert, far from it, but those are some things that definitely will help :-)
