I am happy to put my hand up to run the AW11 class at MTC 2016. I think the principles you've put in place for it there would be pretty easy for most to adhere to and it would be a sight to see for sure

You dont have to worry Rick. All previous entrants from the past three years have first options for 2016.

Would also like to get my entries in as soon as possible since we will have the AW11 and the WRX competing in 2016 :).

I was at Wakefield a few  days ago. Picked the awards for 2015, checked out repairs to the cabins, fixed all the doors in cabin 4, worked out the drainage issues causing the damage to cabin 4 and 5.
If you are booking your holidays, just stick with the dates I have set as they are the dates for 2016.
There will be a few changes to the format in 2016. I have run a few drafts which improve more tracktime if we do not have any incidents ( I do hate seeing these due to the entrants misfortunes) we can still manage good tracktime.
Owen has been helping with a award for 2016. This will allow a award to be ready before the trackday so we can hand this out on the Tuesday afternoon.
Also need to confirm volunteers for 2016. Traffic control, scrutineering, track management. Track management is the most fun as you get to set out the various tracks we use. I had a ball with this in 2015.
Media is also a major requirement. Some video recording on select parts of the track are a must as much as photography. I have some new spots for some great action shots. A car will be required to access these area's.

Can people provide some discussion on the CAMS Hillclimb? Plus and minus?

Steve I think the CAMS hill climb is ok but obviously not as good as the tarmac special stage. Its a different test on the cars though, being tighter with more hairpins means the higher powered cars dont have as much of an advantage. I think this stage gives more balance to the overall event so I think you should leave it in for MTC.

Is the event definitely 11 & 12 January? Is there anything else planned for the day before/after so us interstaters can start planning the trip?

The extra day we had this year worked out well for us SA guys. I'm hoping we'll be able to do the same in 2016...

Thanks Pat for supporting the CAMS Hillclimb as part of the MR2 Trackday Challenge. I know its not everyone's cup of tea but it certainly is required to make this a complete event. I also discussed the regularity with Pete and Aaron the other night. It will also stay as it allows for any car in the top ten to win the event not just the fastest car.

Yes it is the 11/12 and 13 for a open trackday. You can enjoy a few sessions in my car. Payback for Tassie!

The Hill climb is a good addition to the event.
It reduces the big gap between NA and FI cars, plus because no one has extensive practice on the course, no one is faster purely due to knowing the course inside out (Like the Ian/Adrian Advantage on the full course :D)
