Track it or Wreck it?

The insurance company wrote it off as I bend the chassis rail. I could get the chassis rail pulled out and use for track only. Or sell it as a half cut. What do I do? It owes me nothing, Thanks to the insurance company. It's JDM late 92 sw20 Hard Top with only 99000 kms on it. With a rebuild motor and new turbo with lots of forged goodies etc. Here are some pictures of the damage and the rebuild. I don't how much it would cost to pull it out. And would it be safe enough as a track car? The chassis would cave in with a small crash on the track. Once bent there is no strength. That is why I can not put it back on the road.
Be good to here your thoughts on it.

Maybe search for a cheap registerable shell & swap over all the goodies. That way you can both track it & drive on the street. The cost to swap over larger pieces & a cheap shell would probably get close to the cost to repair/prep that for track.

Strut bars, coilovers, interior & exterior pieces you can take care of yourself over time.

Reshell it and track it. I've done it before with an escort. It gives you the opportunity to take unnecessary weight out of the new shell while it is stripped

If thats the case i'd say reshell it into a registerable car. That way you could drive it to a track day, and makes it more sellable to someone who may want both as well. Track only is pretty niche.

But does the bent chassis rail still makes it dodgy to make roadworthy ?

No.. what he is saying, is basisly he can have it repaired, & then just go into motor reg & pick up the rego from where it last was.   No need for engineering certs etc.  It doesnt even need to go over the pits. (as there is nothing written against the vehicle, eg.. written off / Stat etc).
