Boot lock won't open..need help fast! *update* Fixed!

Hey Guys, the other day I went to open the boot with the key on my '94 GT-S Turbo and it just spun in the socket.
Went to the manual release by the driver's seat and it has no effect..like it's been disconnected.
Car is going in to WTF Autos for brakes, new Apexi air filter, oil change etc in a few weeks.Called them today about the boot entry problem and they are a bit puzzled what to do as well.Figured the gurus here my be able to come up with something or have perhaps heard of a fix? I have work stuff in the boot and it's a real problem.
All help appreciated,
Kindest regards,
FB

ps WTF Autos did a nice job on my new brakes, wheel bearing replacement, oil and Apexi filter replacement.
They do good work...thanks guys!

    Thanks for the link mate.
Going to try a locksmith first and then through the tail light assembly as Plan B.

    Resolved!
Went to a locksmith and he cut a new key for me...voila! the boot lock opened right up and now the interior release works just fine.
    Thanks for the help.
