heh.. cheers. i appreciate it.  i need to repaint the front lip again unfortunatley. been like that in the last few pics, but the photo of the front right really shows it. hit it hard a couple times on the front right there since i painted it in may. [:I] left it as is for the moment though. like the other marks and wear-and-tear on the car, it gives it character. she's an old girl.. :p crap, actually, the car will be 23 in September. fast approaching being a classic.. goddamn.. [:0]

^ what dont you like about the wats? too dark? a bloke at my work always used to laugh at my car with black wheels 'as it looks like it has steelies'.. <_< anyway, heres a couple pics more of it from last weekend. very.. BRIGHT day.. but the pics give you an idea of the awesomeness that is the Great Ocean Road. :p went with my mates NA6 MX5. the cars looked great together i reckon!     bad news though.. :p wheels are back off the car! just had to return to the oh-so-daggy stockers+racks look. :$  pic from the mr2 cruise on the weekend. top notch pic - wasnt taken by me though. :$

I have never liked them. The spokes are a bit chunky for my personal taste. They belong on the old mini and that's about it :P

I was doing the same. When stage1 of ours is complete, it'll look a lot like RDS's, except white with JDM tails And a fair bit less mint [B)] hehehe

^ little bit of cleaning up, and that one would look just like mine. im jealous of your cars epic KM's. i love slapping the kays on.. its like an achievement for the car. makes you think of all the stupid little adventures a car has been on, when its got 3,4,500000 kays on the clock. :p quote:

i know what you mean design wise. they are infact quite a dull and strange design, and the full roundness of them really doesn't match the aw11's sharp lines. thats not the point with them though! those fat finger spokes are hollow on the back, and angled down the way they do makes them very strong and very light. watanabe's are a top-notch made wheel... which are popular for those reason. that flows down to them being a popular wheel for any japanese sports-cars, regardless of how well they suit the look of the car. that goes especially for the ae86/aw11/small toyota cars, where as far as japan goes, its the wheel of choice. hence why i have them on my car. IT IS the aw11 mr2's aftermarket wheel; and being a legit period modification, it never really goes out of style. :p i have my stockies on there at the moment though anyway. even though the teardrops are hideous wheels; im a sucker for stock. i absolutley LOVE the innocence of it... sky-high on 14x6's.. headlights up, and some god-awful roof-racks on the roof.  edit; long post with no pic! poo poo-no! :p

RDS, Have you ever had to get newpinstriping for this car? The pinstriping on the front of mine is all messed up, was wondering if you knew of where to get it. Yahoo jp auctions perhaps?

yep, smacked the front bumper up a couple times. (I'm definetley not the best steer-er in the world! :p )
ive got the decals from a guy in the UK.. cant remember the name for sure right now, but they're on ebay UK.
the decals are a pefect fit, and you wouldn't tell the difference. feel up close however, and its actually 3 pinstripes instead of a single triple pinstripe.. but hey, its alot cheaper, and alot easier to get than from toyota. :)
