bloody white doesn't show it! they always look clean. :o

Yeah it's annoying as hell! I washed, clayed and applied some nice poorboys white diamond glaze, and yeah my car looked better, but only really enough for me to notice haha.

your car looks mint buddy. Top stuff.

^ so true. :P had an mx6 in silver years ago, and that was the same deal. always looked clean, but your effort never shows. :(

mr2 is currently undergoing project '2009 TART-UP!!', so pics from the last few weeks: :p
couple sunroof shades i bought at ridiculous expense. white one came from the US, black one from the UK. turned two into 1 perfect one, but freak what a waste of cash! :p

new radiosurround cos my screwholes were broken. :/

and an ashtray, because mines lid-handle had banana'd..

and the cars new bumper and lip:

plan for the body is to repaint the lip, bumper, under bumper trim, and sideskirts. they've all been thrashed by 22years of australia's roads.
only other thing the car is getting is 3 of the teardrop rims re-finished, new tires, and another wax. she'll then be good for many more years. :)

e.g. of before:

closeup of rash!!

after sanding smooth, bit of filling, and pretty much smooth all over (not so much attention to the underside.. its the cars mudflap practically, and gets peppered hard!!)

..hmm.. photo's missing. ahwell :S

..thats all for the moment.

hehehe.. thanks i think. :p
found the pic of my finished rear pods...:

also, got the front windscreen replaced the other week (it was letting the car down, and is cheap enough to replace!)

took all the trims off before-hand because i was afraid the muppet windscreen-man would be a hack. sure enough, he was. :/

ALSO, replaced the tired seats that are in that pic. :D

put those ones on my rails.. which was something different. never pulled the fabric of a seat foam before - its like a bloody jumper! :)

more later ;)

Did you need to respray the trim around you windscreen and doors? The black paint is coming off mine and I'm wondering if I have to do any special prep in order to get the paint to stick to the shiny metal.

mine are still good, but its starting.. so ill do it later.

as for yours, just sand them smooth and make sure the metal is scuffed up enough. if the metal's shiney, the paint wont stick.
other than that, a can of matt black on them, and itl all be good. :)

mint ones pop up on ebay UK every week or two... but you can always just go down to your local toyota dealer and get one. going to be annoyingly dear either way. worth getting a nice one though i guess, as you see it alot...
